THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
This was a very touching episode for me, I loved the part where the various friends that Marco made during his travels said goodbye to them in passing. I definitely teared up a bit there.
Overall I think that some epilogue for the peppinos would have been very nice to have and in general the ending (last 4 episodes) felt a bit rushed and had some awkward moments with the dream sequences and the miracle recovery. So while the very last episodes was great, I think the way the conclusion part of the story was handled in general was one of the weaker parts of the anime. Still, it was a very good and enjoyable show almost all of the time (even though I would have loved more travels in argentina and a bit less time spent in Genoa at the beginning) and if there's one flaw it would be that there weren't any outstanding highlights, just a constant stream of solid episodes. Which is good enough for me especially because it kept it up for 52 episodes. I gave it 8/10, very good show, would recommend.

No, don't cut the Genoa episodes please. I like that arc the most for some reason that I can't quite say myself.

Wow, this was indeed an emotional and equally satisfying conclusion. A pay-off this great is one of the aspects that makes longer anime like this one so sweet. You spent a sufficient amount of time with all of these characters so that you can get genuinely attached to them and when everything comes together at the end it can be quite overwhelming in a good way. And seeing mother and son reuinted, as well as the whole familiy together again was heartwarming.

But I agree that these last couple of episodes were kinda rushed and could've been handled better(even the finale itself, like more of an epilogue or Marco as an grown up, something like that could've been a nice bonus) Nonetheless, loved the note this ended on. I almost feel inclined to raise my score again, but since there were not that many outstanding episodes I will settle for a 7(7,5)

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I think it is one of the best closings that I have seen in an anime, everything happens slowly and on time.

It's a bit of a work of the script that Marco was able to say goodbye to so many of the friends he made on the trip, but considering everything he had to go through it seems fair to me, it doesn't bother me, I'm satisfied with the ending and I would recommend it, especially to people who have seen or experienced discrimination due to their nationality or race (like me), and migrants, although it follows the same structure throughout the series
