Eh it was a more relaxing episode I suppose. I don't think Alka was entirely enjoying that feast. Karen is quite the mysterious woman though with her past. Death flag for her?

This show honestly has some odd pacing. This episode imo should of been earlier rather than episode 8. Oh well. I kinda expected they would fight eventually - Alka vs. Karen rather.

Well holy shit, I'm definitely surprised here. Finally a good episode, Karen showing her true colors. Jin Varel arc was complete shit, but now the show may redeem itself, even if just a little.

The drama in this show is still as deep as the Mariana trench. I'm not even sure if the writing, the animation or the voice acting is the worst aspect. She was sighing through half the episode. Then she sighed some more, only this time with a shocked look on her face.

I know it's a general issue with game adaptations that they can't make up for the PC's lack of personality, but this anime is a new low.

Now we see Karen for the bitch she really is, initially taking her in to get back at her later, killing her own employee Miharu just to get back at Alka, literally cutting off and keeping a body part of her lover in a box, likely a nose or fingers...

I hope Alka kills Karen by the end of the series.

I wonder what Yu Ran and her giant fat bastard pet is up to now that Jin Varrel had her anticlimactic death?

wow so we get to see some of the true colors of Karen, a bit of a surprise there
I'm thinking that maybe we will get a new Jin Varrel (or someone similar)
the MC should just not talk at all, it's better like that ;)

Aruka seems troubled in the aftermath of Yuu's death.
Karen offers her a job at her place to ease her mind off of worrisome matters.

Looks like Mihari too, has killed people. Her desire to protect Aruka and be protected by her was quite nice but a bit sad nonetheless.

Karen's past was nice. Too bad, Aruka trampled over her happy life..
What was inside that box? Remains of her husband? O.o

Miharu is killed all of a sudden. Definitely Karen's work.
Damn, that hallucination was quite creepy..

Looks like Karen is more of an adept fighter; owned Aruka with just her hand-held fan.

Good episode. Karen turns out to be just another psychotic character in the series.
Deliberately had Aruka make a bond to fill her empty heart so she can take revenge. So sick and stupid. Totally disappointed me.

I hope Aruka stays empty and kills Karen someday.

Alka killed Karen's lover because it's her job, without malice, nothing more. Karen murdered Miharu for revenge. Those are two very different things.

Alka, kill Karen. I promise I'll give this a +1 in my final rating if you do it XD

Wow. What a complete change of atmosphere. Great episode.

Also, I can't say I feel sorry for Alka. If I was living nice and quiet life with person I love and someone killed my loved one I doubt I would hesitate to return pain felt.
Hell, I even agree with methods. "I don't want you to die, I want you to suffer" is perfect approach to revenge, and honestly, even refreshing change nowadays.

Looking forward to seeing what comes next.
Best episode so far imho.

God damn that was a powerful episode... probably the best directed so far.

Karen was really mysterious up till now, we all suspect that Alka killed her lover but I didn't know she was actually waiting until Alka to become more human to take her revenge. Killing one of her worker just like that was damn cold!

The soundtracks in this episode were really great and really fit the atmosphere. If they cut the animation budget to make up for the sound, I have no complaint at all.

And hell yeah Jin Varel seems to be ALIVE!! Or probably just constantly resurrected like the monster she is.. Yu Ran is definitely the big bad boss here with all her scheming and controlling of Jin.

Ok, so I guess in this turn of events it is Karen's turn to say 'Tok Shu Sei", then gain oooooh shit why does she have to do it on Miharu rather than just take on Alka? Also, why did she have to go half way, she wanted payback, but she only destroyed Alka's spirit, wtf is that kind of payback?

Is it just me or does Jin's henchmen were planning to resurrect her?

yea but you don't seek revenge on the gun that killed your love one you go after the one who directed the gun and pulled the trigger

Would be alot better if we actually cared about all the characters being killed off.

You can't introduce a character and in the same episode kill them and expect people to give a rats. I don't even know the name of the one that was killed, why should I care?

Though it is a nice twist.

Interesting, she turned down a job.

"I'm saying I've fallen in love with you." Well that was quick, at least he meant it.

That circled well.

Bad time for Alka to start feeling emotions.

Because like she said she wanted to take away what was precious from Alka. Killing her was not enough. She wanted Alka to suffer.

Well, Karen used to be a "street lady" in that kind of world, which implies she should have learned some kind of self defence for her everyday business.
Plus all that "Barbie dance" at the ending of each episode can in some ways be used as a martial art. If you checked she didn't attack once, all she did was dance around and use her opponent momentum against it everytime.

Wow, just...

Ok, let me make sure that I understand what I just saw(and yes, I am asking this.)

Aruka killed Karen's husband in the past, with him just being another job for her, with Karen realizing that it'd be pointless to take revenge against her because she was an emotionless assassin who wouldn't care if she died.

But over time Aruka has regained more of her humanity and therefore has become vulnerable emotionally, leading to her considering herself to be less than nothing. Then she gets pressured into taking another job, and it turns out to be a setup from Karen, who now just wants to hurt Aruka emotionally as vengeance

Is that correct?

He gets that vibe from Karen cutting off some part of her husband's body and keeping it inside a box. I keep lol'ing at the speculation that it's his dick. -.-

Woah, Karen had a dark side. Well, it was sort of implied before. How the heck would she become boss of that establishment otherwise, eh?

Alka getting her arse handed to her, finding someone somewhat important and then losing her. Seems like a set formula for each episode, no?

Wonder what will happen next. And will Karen ever forgive her after taking her out like that this episode?

Episode very enjoyable and the incredible implications.
Plot from a nice clean slate to the past and sheds new revelations, I knew that Karen was not the goody-goody who wanted to look like!
Narrative that has left me a reason to end the series.
I'd love to take that Alka to kick ass Karen.
For now, though disappointing the previous part, this anime is much better than many series transposed from RPG but then as others. Hacks!

I've made it this far, only a few episodes left, but I find myself asking if it would even be worth it to watch the last few. The Jin Varrel fight in the last episode was atrocious, and now we get this episode with Karen turning out to be an idiot... err I mean "villain".

Her reason for revenge is stupid. Her plot to kill a character no one has ever seen before in order to hurt Alka is predictable and pointless. Wouldn't it make more sense to go after whoever hired Alka to kill the husband that apparently falls in love with the first bitch that shows kindness to him? "I just met you like 20 seconds ago as I was dying in the street, but I'm in love you" That's just rushed crap writing.

And in a small clip in this episode we see that Jin might still be alive, but with so few episodes left and this Karen thing stretching to yet another episode I don't see how it will matter.

So, I return to my original statement. I've stuck it out this long, but after the trip down the spiral that this has taken in the last couple episodes I find myself wondering if it's worth sticking with it for the last few episodes.

This is more rhetorical than anything, just getting it out of my system. Maybe I'll pick it back up after it's over if someone can convince me the last few episodes were worth it.

Done & Dropped

Wow, that was tragic, though Miharu's mom forgives Alka, the dad hasn't and in his foolish attempt to snipe Alka he instead kills his wife and eventually himself, nice to see Jin alive again so I'm guess from ep 10 to 12 is gonna be Jin revive and Jin vs Alka again.
