I think that was a bit to rush that ending because they left things to explain.

It would be better if they show us the World some years later to see what happen

there is no real end, the manga just stopped when things got interesting again. i brought all 14 mangas and didnt know anything about it. now i know why no one is mentioning it, it was dropped to whatever reasons. Average shortstorys, slightly connected. A strong female looking for her children in a mad max universe. accompanied by a sly merchant with his truck.

the first few arcs were just fine, very episodic, if something they served to establish your old post apocaliptyc world trophes: war, misery, poverty and a desertic world, and to point sarah towards the next lead of her children's location, and sarah as a character felt a little plain, stoic woman and little more, and her being a martial artist felt a little odd to me, in hokuto no ken, kenshiro fights with martial and so does his enemies, but in mother sarah there are armed soldiers everywhere and these always fail to land a single shot on sarah, and how she herself neglects to procure a gun despite traveling in company of a merchant and often finding herself in danger makes the situation even stranger, it feels like the author wanted to make a female kenshiro when there wasnt a need or sense for this to be the case, it would have made more sense to give her a gun. But the final acrs, since harato introduction to the end were fantastic, it becomes less about sarah personal journey to find her missing children and more about the future of humanity, with some really impactful scenes that give deep to sarah and the world, with an ending that i found both satisfying and hopeful. I also have to point at how beautiful the art is, the great detail with buildings, guns, war machinery and characters are drawn, Nagayasu Takumi gave his all on this one, all in all, i liked it, i give it a 7 out of 10.
