Shinkurou's arm... a blade? bone? hmm As I did before, just love this unique mysterious, dark, yet smoothing atmosphere of Kurenai... :) And again Murasaki is kawaii XD |
| It looked like a blade. Anyway, how convenient to be able to deflect bullets with it too. I like how they started to dwelve a bit into the past. Now we see the connection the newspaper president and Shinkuro's girlfriend have with him (lol can't remember any of their names atm). And Murasaki is ultra-cute! <3 |
| It was a great episode but... I didn't think they handled the aftermath of the fight very well. They should have had bruises or something. Also, Kurenai's arm is pretty sweet (An implanted blade? Perhaps the nature behind his "power" that he had gone to less desirable lengths to procure, as was suggested in the first episode). Just a guess. Good action this episode and a little bit of history into the characters' pasts. Enjoyed it. |

| I really hope this is 26 episodes. Though it seems most good anime tends to be 13-ish... I wonder why :/ Murasaki is fantastic, and her ability to tell when someone is lying is something I just love about her. Kurenai is also great. You know what, I don't feel like typing stuff right now. |

| Hm, is it me.. or was the art sometimes a little weird/off/drawnbyapes in this episode? The animation was nice as always, for example when Murasaki shook her head.. but sometimes the line art (or arms, hair, etc.) really bothered me, especially in the first half of this 4th episode. History scenes were well done.. by which I mean, they blended into teh story nicely. All in all tho, I liked the first three eps better than this one. |

| I liked it- it seems to have a fairly high budget for a fairly unknown show. I wasn't sure what I expected from the first few episodes, but I like the direction that the show is going now. |
| Another great ep. This is definitely best new show of the season for me. Finally, a series where I actually like all of the characters! | I hope this ends up in the low twenties for episodes. and with this setting, there is a chance of like 5 episodes of filler (similar to what Welcome to the NHK did) just having Kurenai recieving more jobs and that would flat-out suck. For a while I was thinking the woman who was following Murasaki and the "Witch Lady" were one in same. Bath scene was great as always. You just gotta love the loli fanservice. Murasaki and Kurenai both proved their strengths and several things were explained but it wasn't that cute or funny unlike the other episodes. As someone else said, the look of Kure-nai was still there but the animation looked lacking. It seemed like BSS did a better job than last time fortunately ^_^. |

| I enjoyed this episode like the rest of you. I have to agree that Murasaki's character is great and when we first met her I was afraid she was going to be a stuck up brat for at least a few more episodes. Quite glad that wasn't the case as the way those too interact and try to understand each other is part of the reason this show is so good. |

| Another good episode, this series gets more interesting with every episode! I want to know more about the blade thing in Shinkurou's arm and how it got there. It's good to see more character development by showing some of Shinkurou's past, but I still want to know more! Hopefully more of the past will be shown soon, maybe even relating to how he got his arm. |

| I think there's a slight annoying thing when I watched this episode, the action at early scenes, Kure-nai had unnatural movement, when Murasaki lied down unconscious and kurenai had his blad errr or bone stick out....but after the fighting scenes were so good, and Saki-chan really cute... |
| So I guess it is safe to say I am the only one is annoyed by Murasaki. Give me one episode where I don't have to hear that screechy yelling and I'm sure I'd like her a whole hell of a lot more. Shinkuro is pretty bad ass, but is he only strong when he has the blade out? |

| A goof episode. The show has a nice balance. I think the introduction phase is about over, so the meat of the story should be coming up soon. |

| i don't know what makes this show great. it doesn't have that much action scenes, for once, i can actually say that sometimes the animation IS weird(i usually don't mind a show's animation..because i can't really distinguish the goood from the bad XD), much of it just revolves around conversation(SHOULD BE boring, but its not) etc etc...but DAMN THIS SHOW IS GOOD @_@ |

| this girl is out of this world. considering the life shes had shes just magnificent. now they finaly reveal a little about the past. as far as kurenai's GF, they really arent, he just spends considerable time with her. she thinks there is something there and she kinda pushes herself to him, but he seems passive about it. hes rather submissive to her when it comes to his "job" though, probably because they have a rather profound history together; having trained him [or with him] and all. the newspaper girl is the same way, but her approach is opposite. this is one of those situation where its a no win situation for the guy, even if the show hasnt dove into that aspect of their relationship yet. |

| It seems that the more I watch this show, the more I like it. I like how Murasaki's character has been developing, especially in this episode. I normally don't get angry when stuff happens in anime, but... I was really angry at the part in this where the guys were messing with Murasaki. I can't stand it when people harm those who are defenceless, especially kids. |

| I was pretty annoyed with Murasaki after the fight, and then she apologized and I was like...omg, <3 again. Characterization is very well done in this series. |
| Well I can't say I disliked this episode but the whole idea with the "horn" left me with mixed feelings. Of course its cool and handy thing for him to have (especially in this kind of work he is doing) and there may be some interesting development with it (if you consider that in 1st or 2nd episode it seems like he struggles to keep it under control) but on the other hand I was actually thinking Kure-nai will be one of these non fantasy/sci-fi series and well right now it's clearly not. But anyway cool episode with some very nice character development parts. |

| Heeeh. Here's someone else who adds Kure-nai to her list of favourite animes of the season. I love both the everyday life of Shinkuro and Murasaki and the whole mystery aspect. Murasaki is an awesome character. I was sceptial at first because "spoiled brat gets out into the world and becomes a better person" has been done to death and it can be done bad so easily but I really like what this anime is doing: Murasaki already is a good person who's not afraid to speak up. At the same time, she's an incredibly well-written seven-year-old child, albeit a very polite one... most of the time. ^.~ On top of that she's super adorable. <3 I loved the bits of background story we got in this ep; not enough to spoil the fun/mystery but enough that we are no longer completely left in the dark. Murasaki trying to count to twenty as fast as she could in the bath was one of my favourite scenes but I also liked the fighting. (One thing is strange though. Shinkuro says in the bath that Murasaki shouldn't worry since he already has some scars from his job. I'm apparently blind because I didn't see any. Is it just me?) Awesome anime, awesome characters - awesome episode. ^_^ |
