| Species Humans: The average, everyday human being. They have a variety of intelligence, skills, and personalities. More humans have devoted themselves to training in combat in order to keep up with the protection from demons. Most don't have any special abilities, but some powers can be learned by them, such as aura manipulation, elemental spells, and other powers. Demons: Dark beings born from within the underworld. There are a wide variety of demon types, some with special abilities. Most have great physical strength and endurance, but only a few can think like humans do. They enjoy attacking humans, animals, and even other demons for sustinence and sport. The stronger the demon, the harder it is for them to cross into the human world. The underworld is ruled by the 13 strongest demons, known as the Demon Lords. Devil-Humans: A Human that has had his or her soul and body forcibly fused with a demon through unknown methods and without the consent of either being. They are rarer than Demons. Devil-Humans often retain their human form, but gain strength and endurance far greater than a normal human and can heal as fast as demons. Sometimes a Devil-Human will gain a unique ability. Devil-Humans are feared and hated by humans. People use to try and kill Devil-Humans when they first become one, but because of the animalistic side that comes out when near death, now most just abandon them. It is assumed that once a human reaches puberty, it becomes impossible for them to become Devil-Humans since in most cases only young pre-teen children have turned. Sarim: Celestial beings from another dimension. They are the overseers of the planet and protect the balance of the world. In human history they have been known by several different names, angels being the most well known. In normal circumstances only one Sarim is able to cross into this dimension at a time. Their powers are opposite that of demons and often include the use of light. They are made of pure energy and don't really have a physical form in their dimension, but gain a physical form when they enter this dimension. When at their most powerful, wing-shaped energy emits off of their backs. Naphal: Former Sarin that have fallen from grace because of breaking the Laws of the Sarim Order. They are usually destroyed when they're caught, but the rare few that do escape the Sarim's dimension make it to the underworld. Reaching the underworld destroys their "wings" so they cannot use a Sarim's full power ever again. Since they are former Sarim, they retain some of their Sarim powers, but also gain demonic abilities, potentially making them the most lethal beings. Most, however, are unable to leave the underworld. Metamorphs: Human beings, even rarer than Devil-Humans, that have a different DNA structure that allows them to morph their bodies into a completely different being, usually animals. Some humans can control the metamorphasis at will, but most can't. For those that can't, their DNA transforms when certain conditions are met or at a certain time and/or place. Most stop thinking like a human and think like the animal they transformed into, causing them to forget what happened while morphed. Powers Aura: Aura is the primary source of power for all beings, humans, demons, sarim, and devil-humans. Aura is the combination of bodily and internal energy into one. There are several sub categories for aura powers. Aura Shape Manipulation: Uses Aura to form into a solid object. It is very difficult to form an object out of one's aura, especially the larger the object. Different shapes that aura has been changed into are swords, shields, guns, and even bullets. Shape manipulation requires more body energy than internal energy. Elemental: By manipulating natural energy with one's aura, they are able to create or control a natural element, such as fire, water, wind, and earth. People who are able to manipulate natural energy are called Elementals. Most people will not be able to manipulate natural energy no matter how hard they train, so it's quite a rare abilty. Pure Energy: The hardest of all the Aura powers to learn. The user draws more on internal energy |
