Hello everyone!
I was wondering if you could fill out this survey for me.
I'm doing a study for my Women Studies class on how gender is perceived on people that watched cartoons/anime as children.
If you could spare a few moments of time to fill this out.
Thank you for your time!

Women Studies Survey

2. How many hours a day, approximately, did you watch cartoons/anime?

3. Name five different cartoons/anime that you watched.

4. How do you think your gender is displayed in those shows?

5. How do you think the opposite gender was displayed in those shows?

6. Name some masculine traits that are shown in real life.

7. Name some feminine traits that are shown in real life.

Thanks again! :)

Women Studies Survey
Age: ...just say teens to young adult, anything in between. ^_^'
Gender: Female

1. Did you watch any cartoons/anime when you were less than 13 years old (if no, skip to question 5)?
Yes.

2. How many hours a day, approximately, did you watch cartoons/anime?
1-1 1/2 hrs/day

3. Name five different cartoons/anime that you watched.
1. Shugo Chara!
2. Axis Powers Hetalia
3. Lucky Star
4. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
5. Shakugan no Shana

4. How do you think your gender is displayed in those shows?
Generally on par with the opposite gender, though Hetalia is (obviously) made of males and Lucky Star is full of females. Of course, Shakugan no Shana and Haruhi Suzumiya follow a male character, and so females are treated "as such" (eye candy. XD)

5. How do you think the opposite gender was displayed in those shows?
Again, on par with females. The way characters act in these shows aren't always separated by gender, especially in shows like Hetalia and Lucky Star where some girls "act like boys" and some boys "act like girls" because of the lack of an opposite gender.

6. Name some masculine traits that are shown in real life.
Kyon and Yuugi tend to ogle Haruhi and Shana respectively a little, which is expected. Konata from Lucky Star and her father are both otakus and both act like male ones in real life.

7. Name some feminine traits that are shown in real life.
All five shows mention female needs at some point. Shugo Chara!, Haruhi Suzumiya and Shakugan no Shana involve delving into the thoughts of the female leads and their character development.
