| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So the haku is 吐く and the ouki is 嘔気, huh. Overall, the first episode reminded me of Sengoku Basara, if it was a Bakumatsu period reverse harem, and lost all the stuff that was actually entertaining. AND NOT A SINGLE CHONMAGE IN SIGHT |

| I've played the game, so for me its more like "omg its finaly animated" for me XD even in the game, it takes awhile before the action starts ^^ but for me, i love the storyline more then anything as im a HUGE Toshi-Hijikata fan (from playing the game) so i'm just gonna be quite happy just seeing toshi move (instead of being in 2D) XD i'm not very hard to please really ^^; |

| The chonmage subs are the only reason i watched whole episode. With real subtitles i'd probably drop this after first 5 minutes. Now i hope they will release next episodes :D |

| Okay, the first part of the story kind of scream Vampire Knight to me. I guess it probably the animation. And then I later realize as I though... it's DEEN's work. Though I don't mind reserve harm.. but it didn't look good enough for me in a way. |

| Oh God, chonmage subs made this awesome xD Even if I need to re-watch it with proper subs, IT WAS WORTH IT, DAMMIT. Too many golden quotes to even list them. I'm never deleting this. | This show's nothing like Rurouni Kenshin. C'mon, you guys. It's an adapted otome game. Don't except that much awesome action and all. It's focused on relationships. And apparently they decided to pair up Chizuru and Hijikata. Sano's storyline is my favourite though... As for the character designs, I think it's the closest they could get to the game's designs, so a pretty decent job, faaaar from perfect though. Oh yeah, warning you, the girl's extremely annoying, one of those who cry all the time >.> |

| It's not, I'm just judging by the OP ^^ Actually in the game there are different storylines. If you choose a particular answer in a particular situation, you might end up with Hijikata, Okita, Saito or Harada. There's no cannon pairing here ^^ |

This is a good series. I particularly liked at the beginning how Chizuru got into trouble and those monsters came after her only after they killed those 2 males with swords. Her rescue by Hajime and Souji was nice! So far I really like Hajime, Toshizo and Heisuke. I also like a lot Chizuru and her circumstances surrounding her father Kodo Yukimura. The Shinsengumi's treatment of Chizuru was pretty harsh but the funny moment was when all did not think she was a girl but a guy. Souji proposing that she proves it and the way he asked was funny. I did not like how Heisuke got punched but I assume what he said was not tolerated at all. | As a first episode, is it supposed to be symbolic to be vague with character, story, color and atmosphere? If so, good work. On a side note; they were really surprised she was a girl? Really? The design and voice is pretty clear. I'm now off to watch the troll subs! |
