| I kinda wanna see what's up with the 'bad guys,' particularly this Chihaya character. Seems she has a bit of a past involving the Idols. And just what is it they have against Modenkind? Could there possibly be something a bit sketchy going on behind the workings (maybe this is like Mai HiME...)? And it looks like they're treating the mecha as characters, so I definitely want to see how the character development between Haruka and Imber plays out. |

| Giving character traits to giant robots? That's an interesting touch. |
| I liked how they froze it at the end of the episode at a shot that made it look like the robot was smiling. |

| If Haruka crashed into the sea after that speech, it would have been really dumb and hilarious at the same time, but who am I kidding. Can't get nice things, but at least there wasn't anything particularly wrong. The show is just going through the motions of setting up the succeeding episodes. So yeah, we're doing this dance. The idiot newcomer who has to have everything explained to them, which in turn explains everything to the viewer in a clumsy way. This is reinforced by the school setting and the "lesson" that narrated the mechanics of the universe, while trying to keep it amusing through the dynamics of Yukiho's assertive and confident demeanor, combined with Haruka's weakness at everything not related to blowing stuff up. On the side are quirky side characters I actually like, bumbling politicians, and mysterious people making mysterious one-liners. I actually thought this show was going to be bad, but I was wrong. It's just...not notable for anything, or at least so far. |

| Things are really starting to get interesting now! Haruka certainly seems to be determined, and a natural for the role of a pilot. |
