Isn't me or the rating is getting smaller and smaller

At least this season has higher rating than the last, maybe because it improved in the animation department

And the low rating is just people not having the attention span of seeing character introduction and world building that will be helpful later, no they just want the cool tournament, another anime suffered similarly despite being one of the best world building, the fire hunter

I, for one, love this type of storytelling

But the one thing I do not like this season is the bloody subtitles man, seriously Disney, what the hell, I'm just gonna try to find fan subs (if they even exist) going forward

TBF it is weirdly repetitive. The structure makes you feel like it could literally just keep going forever with new characters and just never really hitting story.

TBF it is weirdly repetitive. The structure makes you feel like it could literally just keep going forever with new characters and just never really hitting story.

@CalorieEnchilada just be patient. "Weirdly Repetitive" at least it focuses a lot of characters and world building. Unlike other isekais.

@Kinomo65 I'm glad we are getting character and world building.
However, "weirdly repetitive" feels apt. It feels like a long form viewing of the Too Many Cooks skit, where new people just keep getting introduced forever.

Not that I don't think it'll eventually end but that it's still a strange pacing and probably puts people off to some degree.

It's Isekai fans, what do you expect. I still see people asking who the protagonist is, and I see even more people ask what Is going on when the plot is pretty simple(Both seasons)

@CrunchyCrobat what you said about attention span is really apt.

People today have the attention span of a teenager, heck even some late teens have a better attaention span than adults in there mid 20s. Because of these people the first season's ratings suffered.

Season 1 at least deserved a 7.8 rating but it currently sitting at just 6.66. Thank god it got renewed for a second season. and I hope the Japanese audience has a better attention span than the average non Jap viewer and the Blu rays sell well, so that we get more seasons in the future.
