@RobertBobert I'd like to believe that no one is so petty or butthurt as to not only give a high (or low) rating on something, but also to either create multiple accounts just to sway the ratings or resort to bots, especially on MAL of all places. However, I'd believe it if people did do that, as things far smaller have been botted before.

As for your question, while I think it is possible that one butthurt individual decided to bot everything themselves, I'm more inclined to believe it's the result of many people. Anywhere you go, whether it be here, twitter, or any other forum or social media, you'll find people who unironically find the ending a fitting finish for a "masterpiece." Of course, there's nothing inherently wrong with this as people are not only entitled to their own opinions, but sometimes people just like what they like. However, I've found that many of these people can't fathom that something popular can possibly finish bad, and thus spoiling the work as a whole, which is what causes a lot of the arguments. Additionally, Aka being the creator of Kaguya, an arguably more popular series that also couldn't entirely stick the landing, has caused many to look at Oshi no Ko and go "there's no way this can be bad, Aka wrote it."

Sorry if this is wordy and doesn't answer your question in any way. It's been a hot minute since I've had any halfway critical discussions relating to anime and manga.
@Acctra No, no problem. Well, if years of internet controversies surrounding media have taught me anything, it's that many people view being a fan as having to idealize and defend their favorite title or author, so they will deny ANY criticism, even mild ones from other fans because that any criticism in their eyes is considered an attack on their object of worship. Even if the criticism is objective and the problem is obvious. Never heard of the infamous K-pop fans, many of whom will call you a fake fan if you don't forgive your common oshi for committing a criminal offense?
