Yo, since we're nearly done with the anime in it's entirety I thought it'd be cool to hear about people's favourite villains and why? (Any villain counts from the main series, even if they're stuck in a single OVA or film) I'll kick off with my own. Twice/Jin Bubaigawara, I love him because of his witty nature and his unique reasons behind being a devoted villain compared to the other big league members, purely staying on the side of evil because it's where he feels welcomed and loved, he also easily has some of the best growth in the League. I'd also like to give props to some other villains who I feel had amazing designs, but not necessarily enough room to grow like a lot of the LoV did, being: Curious from the MLA and even Mustard from the Training Camp in s3.

Probably Overhaul. How he treated Eri was super fucked up and he felt like a massive threat because of how versatile his ability was. Of course it wasn't nearly enough to justify his villainous behavior, but there were enough shades of grey in terms of the reasons behind his behavior to make him compelling.

Shigaraki’s undisputedly the best. My personal pick is Stain because of how everyone still talks about him 300 chapters later. Mans came in, scared ts outta the entire main cast, left, and changed the whole status quo while being MIA. The mad lad.

@wgwolford great choice lol, I'm a huge Overhaul fan as well. He was easily one of the scariest villains they introduced seeing as we literally see him exploiting/abusing a child.

Probably all for one (minus the ending). He was written as the embodiment of pure evil, his reasoning for what he does is just because he wants to and even when everything seems like it's falling apart, he's still one step ahead like a true demon lord

@HollowCurseDevil XD "undisputedly the best"? I mean okay, I can definitely see argument for that. But in that sense I prefer All For One as the puppeteer behind him. Stain is definitely a sick villain, I mean even his cool design and everything aside he was one of the villains who actually was trying to fix society without just saying they want to destroy the world, albeit in a screwed up way.

yeahhh, maybe saying undisputedly was a little too much. Main antagonist bias, ig.

Stain for sure, love his ideas. Then I think Shigaraki and Toga are up there too, especially after Toga's moment with Ochaco in the last season, made me tear up.
We cant forget Twice of course, he'll always hold a place in my heart.

@Miry4316 yeah, funny how Stain is such a popular villain given that he shows up early and isn't in the show much. Really shows just how cool of a character he is. Toga's interesting to me, I never found her character to be that entertaining until post Twice's death, from there she blew up for me though. I mean her seeing heroes in that way and her fight with Ochacko was definitely great.

Dabi, his power is technically simple, but what it became and how it was transformed into something that was degrading him inside and out, I think the analogy with fire, and blue flames are really sooo cool, I also like how he escalated until he became a villain, I also understand his motivations, the fact that all that stuff happened at the end of season 7, and yet he made it clear that he hated his father until his last minute, seriously, it was amazing, anyway, I think everything about this character so interesting.

@Nwverlxnd that's so true, Dabi became such an interesting character following the reveal behind his motives and the way Endeavor treated him makes him a character you can really sympathize with. Honestly his quirk being called "Cremation" and the burns on his body take that simple quirk of his and make the simple power both terrifying and cool- him turning himself into a nuke was sick as well XD

Overhaul, I think. He had the potential to be a much bigger antagonist.

Definitely Stain, he is the villain who left the best impact on me. And actually what he said made sense, you can't deny that his motivations make sense. You can argue about the execution but if he hadn't behaved that way he wouldn't be a "bad guy".

Yeah, I know he's not exactly popular (in-fact, I'd go as far as to say he's probably the least popular of the main arc villains), but I'm surprised nobody-else said Gentle Criminal yet. He's been my favorite character in the whole series basically since he first showed up, lol.
His gentleman schtick, his relationship with La Brava and his YouTube career all blend into a surprisingly cohesive character, his Quirk is memorable without feeling too overpowered and his backstory is super underrated, IMO. It's not quite as sad as Todoroki or Shigaraki's, but it definitely gets the job done.
Also, I found Overhaul to be super disappointing as a villain, so Gentle was a relief to me right after the Overhaul arc was over, lol.

Shout-out to Twice, though. He's my second-favorite villain, and second-favorite character overall.

XD I 100% would've said Gentle had we been talking even a season ago. I love his character and gimmick ever since he released and he's easily one of my favourite characters. the thing is though, is he was never really a *villain*, at least on the level of the others, so for me I'd say favourite character sure, not villain.
