This anime would have been much better with a better main character. All he does is "doing nothing" . A main character who is not powerful but good with his strategies and has capability to lead his clan and party when needed along with the trope of wanting to retire (which is almost non existent). Here, he is not even important to story even a bit

his lack of importance to the story is part of what made me like this show so much. 😂 I enjoyed what felt like a show about a dude who failed at living a SOL anime .

I wouldn't say he isn't important it's that he's lucky with his vague commands that end up being important. I'm not sure if it'll be explained later on though as his own power of whatever I haven't read any of it.

you can just say you didn't like it, you know. i wasn't the biggest fan either, but you're suggesting changing the defining feature of the show would somehow fix it. it wouldn't be the same show anymore with such a drastic change. you just didn't like it, and that's fine

The main character being like this is literally the core trope of the story, if you don't like it, this isn't an underutilization of the main character, but just not to your taste.

i pretty much love the anime, well probably because there's his group of childhood friends who respect him so much to the point they made him the group/clan leader even though knowing he isn't as OP as them. With all of his childhood friends being one of the world best (fits my preference completely).

The idea of him also wanting to retire even though he is the leader of one of the most strongest clan isn't something you would see in average anime's (or probably because I haven't been searching much or something else).

people have different opinion, not liking it doesn't mean the anime is bad for everyone.

Looking forward to season 2

Precisely! Changing the MC’s core personality to become more of a hands-on hero who saves everything himself would completely alter the essence of the show. It would lose the unique charm of its current premise and turn into something far more generic and commonplace.

woah .. everybody is being too harsh for some reason..The Akashic tower arc jud didn't had enough of the main character being involved in the story..Later episodes were much better

At least author had different concept, at least its not reincarnated to smt and im freaking most OP char in the world. Yea its not good anime, it has his moments but its different a bit than whats usually out.

Anime was obv enjoyable ..I just wanted mc to have a little bit of +ve thing about him and not just the luck facto (I would've liked it more that way but that's totally subjective)... that's just my pov and it doesn't matters
