What is Laust? Spoilers from the last episode

During the fight with the dragon, Laust once again had that aura and overcome the dragon basically by himself. While he did have that aura the dragon did not recognize it as hero powers, plus his own party was afraid of him because of ominous feeling it gave out. On top it gave him a horn and burning eyes and if he stays in that form supposedly he'll lose all of his sanity (or something like that). To me the obvious guess and most amusing one he's the reincarnation of the demon lord. If he does go on the journey to find the reincarnated hero they would fight at first glance. Any other guesses?

nah i think thats pretty on point, bro literally has the horn of an oni while "stacking" aka multicasting spells. i agree, hes either an ultra high rank demon or the demon lord reincarnated

Well he's a child of the labyrinth or whatever it was so I'm guessing his powers are drawn from there, having some connection of sorts anyway. Walking dungeon master/creator? Did his parents do something weird in there like pollinating in labyrinth magic goo? His father a dungeon lord? Imagination running wild here.

@Gl0rp I don't know his background. I think the only thing that was mentioned about his background was that he was an orphan with no mention of his parents. Whatever form he goes into is enough to make the black dragon scared. Plus LN and manga are no help. Neither of them have gotten much farther than the first season. So it's left to the imagination like you said.

His background is apparently just being an orphan. Of a labyrinth or dungeon I forget but that keeps coming up so it might be important. That guild sub boss is one too. I don't think they ever explained what it means.

@Gl0rp They were called labyrinth kids because their parents were adventurers and died in a dungeon that's in a city. Since they are orphans in a labyrinth town hence the name labyrinth kids. Laust having powers should be for some other reason.

Thanks! I missed that info.

I'm still betting on a connection to a labyrinth. They seem to work like a mana generator of some kind.
