Think about it. If you have no emotions then you would not even care to listen to your past.
Then with no emotions, the only thing will matter to you would be following orders.
This would prevent Alice from listening to Kirito’s claim that she was indeed alice they know.
This would also prevent Kirito’s chance of reaching above the tower because it would be an absolute order for Synthesis Knights to punish them yet when they have emotions they listen a bit making then weak

It is not an answer that she can’t remove because she froze her emotions too, right?
So it is possible to remove emotions of Synthesis Knights like nothing even happened at all
And they can act as human speak to residents like a human would then perform the order.
