It’s too soon to say. There’s going to be more chapters before anything is made.

Until the arc is completely finished, no new chapters will be adapted. Production takes 2 years minimum so give it another decade

Togashi has serious health problems so the release of the manga is incredibly sparse and inconsistent. We will most likely never get a continuation of the anime. I’d recommend reading the manga.

Even if they do adapt more of the manga, it will unfortunately be without at least one of the voice actors as Leorio's voice actor passed away a few years ago. All of the other voice actors are still active as far as I know though.

I'd guess maybe after Togashi dies as the story will not continue without him. But they might not even want to if it's incomplete, plus it might seem callous if it's immediate

Possibly if he manages to finish this arc they'll do it, just not sure if they'd want to adapt it when it's so connected to the Dark Continent (or if Togashi will even make it to the end of this arc)

I doubt they'll adapt anything until togashi dies ngl. But even then I feel like the stuff that's in the manga shouldn't be adapted. It doesn't feel right, its ok where it ended. Gon met ging and that should be satisfying for the anime fans

I watched it this month as well, right now I was thinking about HxH and found this, plus at this precise moment I was listening to the best OST (Hunting for Your Dream), plus(again) I just found out Kurapika s VA is the one who acted for Jolyne in Eyes of Heaven and old All Star Battle JoJo games, always loved this VA, crazy I was liking Kurapika so much, even the VA is my favourite, still trembling for this news

Regardless, I value quality. I would be disappointed if the new adaptations were horrible!

It isn't "perfect for Mappa" by any means.

JJK isn't close to Hunter x Hunter in any universe.

Madhouse and Nippon versions are perfect.

The Dark Continent and Succession War arc are the same. It is not complete.

MADHOUSE is just perfect for the anime... if they can adapt it nicely because madhouse is not same as before but I will say no Mappa because Mappa is like always busy and can't give time to a single series. Also there are a lot of good studios like Sunrise, TMS, Production i.g., Wit, Pierrot (with the quality of bleach). There are some studios that shouldn't adapt it like.
A1 pictures, since they might give it the average isekai colouring like they did with solo leveling.
Studio Deen, because they are not the same as they used to be (see what they did with junji ito collection and seven deadly sins).
J.C. Staff, similar to A1 pictures but with bad animation (not that bad).

Yeah but the producer isn't and in that case M2 (Mappa 2) will be perfect (see pluto and yes, M2 is Mappa 2)

If the production committee is still Nipon Television, I'm sure Madhouse will do it

Honestly, with Nippon returning to TV anime since a few years ago, I'd much prefer them to do it than Madhouse. But I am not sure if Nippon would have the talent to do it just as well as their try a couple decades back. Their art style was so strong and made the anime very memorable. The crimson eyes never looked better, let alone comparable, in the Madhouse adaptation. And there is the more important matter of Furuhashi returning as director, given he has seen work on pretty popular anime lately.

Was not a huge fan of Madhouse speedrunning the narrative at the beginning. Given HxH had its manga slowing down at that point, they could have given us equal substance to the Nippon adaptation, or at least close to that much. And then it could have been overall better in the writing department. Will always consider the majority of scenes in the first three Nippon arcs better.

Some that come to mind right away are Gon surviving in the woods and him meeting Leorio. The former properly showing Gon's struggle very well and the latter a great way in showing some of Leorio's skills without showing too much of his hand right away. Well Madhouse feels like the better choice in Japanese, the English dub for the Nippon series is very good and the voices fit all of the characters the best, especially Killua. I never saw the Nippon version in Japanese, but I'd trust the performances are on par with Madhouse.

Madhouse begins to stand on equal footing around Greed Island, especially given the more unusual execution Nippon has of it. Besides the choice to not return Furuhashi as director, they also juggled a new one pretty much every ten episodes. Though to play devil's advocate, I never humored it for the entirety and stopped partway through. It might not be noticeably worse, but many seem to agree Madhouse did the arc better and the directors swapping around suggests the pace jumps around a lot. It did still look better than the Madhouse animation in terms of art style, though.

I really could've just made my own thread at this point, but since this all at least focuses on a specific opinion regarding HxH being adapted once more, it still fits. Though I apologize for giving you a novel. I just enjoy comparing HxH a lot and I still did find entertainment with the rushed arcs in the Madhouse version, even if it wasn't as much as Nippon. Though I'm definitely not as big of a fan as many others on this site. And for consistency, it might just make more sense to leave Madhouse onboard with how much they've covered. So long as the writing is good, I can live without the other luxuries.

Someday, I really should sit down and give the Nippon Greed Island OVAs a proper go. Think I might've just been sour at the fact they lack an English dub.

Probably will be announced in 2026 for the anime's 15-year anniversary, then come out in 2028 or 2029, by then the arc should have 100 chapters to adapt, they could do Three 24-episode seasons to cover the arc the arc ends up 141 chapters (to give you an idea, Chimera ant arc was 132 chapters)
Sup...
