I groaned so hard. I mean come ON! The amnesia trope on ep 12 of 13?? They'll either drag it out into a season 2 that has maybe a coin flip's chance of happening or it'll be a rushed showdown that would have been better if it had been set up from this episode's confrontation...totally unnecessary...

And imo it's even worse due the fact that that ridiculous vampire dorm anime from last season ended it's run with the same trope. It's so overused!!!

let's be real no way this gets a season 2. can only think of one villainess show that got more than 1 season. definitely dropped the bag on the pacing of this anime

That is not my issue.

My issue is having the prince confess and then the next day forget who she is entirely.

Such a disappointing ending

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

@At525 whoa now don't misunstand, I said that moment was stupid but it still works, I for one think the show is great,I dropped it at ep 2 but binged it months later every one has there opinions

My Next Life as A Villainess have two seasons and a movie, but I assume that's the one you mean? Because as someone who love all those villainess-animes, I'm sad there's not more. Many of them have been released these past two years though so you never know 🤷🏼‍♀️

IF they follow the light novel, it won't be like what you described.
If not? I guess it'll be rushed or seen in a potential second season.

Damn people take the series way too serious, yh some aspects are quite stupid. I actually did think of a sec about "walking away with an ancient book is ok?" But maybe Liz was rlly honest, as she looked quite honest. but maybe the falling rose petal scene gave us a hint already. But I am still excited to see what's gonna happen.

This show was hitting all the right notes for me until this episode. I'll reserved final judgement until ep13 is out but so far they really dropped the ball with this one. Amnesia trope should just be eradicated from any modern work.

Edit: they got us in the first half ngl. Turns out we were wrong. This anime gets a 10/10 from me. I have to start the LN sometime soon
