followed by a supporting cast including a delusional wannabe idol, an angry porcelain cat grandma, and a seemingly perfect man as they learn about the intersection of aliens and folktales.

10/10 anime. top tier animation.
very hot sexy animation. the 4 strip parrallax effect as creepy nuts (based OP artist and very on point) sings "hi-de-ka" is great.

lots of attempted sexual assault but only one case towards the end thats actually real, rather than just following ancient tropes of aliens and (japanese) folktales having a fondness for stealing genitals.

I think I'm in the weird position of both agreeing and disagreeing with you.

On one note, I absolutely love Aira. Giving us a piece of shit narcissist and having her slowly redeem herself while still giving her this deluded hero complex is great imo. Jiji's still iffy, but we'll get to see more of him next season, so he could get better given time. Think the show would be worse off without them in that regard.

That being said, they have kinda killed my enjoyment for the show with their role in the constant love triangle shit. It's so cliche and not enjoyable to watch at all. I hate seeing the mcs being romantically jealous, standoffish, and cringe with each other. Worst of all, it takes up so much of the run time that you can't even just ignore it. Irritates the hell out of me to see it in a series I otherwise love.

Well, I kinda agree with you, but at least you gotta give the author credit for being talented enough to create such stylish characters by which I’m honestly impressed.
