Does it focus on romance and does it have a good romantic conclusion ?

I am thinking of watching this, but I have some doubts.
- Does it have a good romantic conclusion by the end of S2, or it leaves the romance plot hanging.
- Does it focus enough on romance, or it focuses more on mystery and supernatural stuff or comedy (Like The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and thats why it disapointed me)

95% animes lower that 7.00 on MAL are trash.

it’s a shoujo so of course it’ll focus on romance, it develops throughout the series, the series is completed, there is a season 3 but i think they’re counted as OVA on here but it has a great romantic conclusion

Not by the end of S2. There are sooo many unadapted manga volumes so be sure to read them because it's completely worth it

You'll only get the conclusion if you watch the OVAs that came out after season 2. But, it Is definitely worth a watch.

You'll love the OVA which is the sequel of the second season,and that was the best OVA I ever watched in a shoujo anime.

For me it's the perfect anime. it has a great story, great characters and relationships. and yes the conclusion is very very clever and satisfying ( the anime's ending is not in the second season but in the "Kako-hen" ova which beautifully wraps up the story in 4 episodes) so yeah I highly recommend!

It’s a very cute story and well worth the watch. I think the voice acting in the English Dub is good if you’re into dubs. If you want a complete conclusion, then watch the OVAs (pretty sure those are subs only). You’ll get some romantic conclusion if you end at season 2, but it’s no where near as satisfying as the conclusion you get in the OVAs.

Side note: it’s nothing like Haruhi Suzumiya. It focuses way more on the romance instead of being an after thought. Kamisama Kiss doesn’t feel like the romance is forced like how I felt with Haruhi Suzumiya. There are even romantic side stories that still hold with the supernatural stories and elements.

Thanks guys, I have finished watching it, including OVA after S2.
The Romance part was great and I loved it. Some good scenes, which compelled me to rewatch them as well.

There was some illogical stuff, some situations, where characters behave illogically, and are saved by pure luck. That same illogical-ness in every light hearted fantasy animes, where everything turns out well, and nobody gets hurts in the end, while that was extremely unlikely in each situations. That I didn't like, but I guess it doesn't focus seriously on realistic-ness of those situation, so I had to turn off my analytical brain for a while.

1st season's ending song was really lovely, and it will stay with me for a while.

One of the really good ones among romance animes.

Kamisama is one of my top favorites shoujos ever. It’s wholesome, funny, and sweet. I recommend it but like some people said, in order to get a proper conclusion you’ll need to watch the OVAs... they’re essentially season 3 all condensed into a couple of episodes. I really wish they had made a proper third/final season.

I also highly recommend that you read the manga, as the anime did not include some things from the manga (and also dropped an arc or two).
