Is this canon?

I know this series is original source and i think why MAL labeled this trilogy as a side story is bc maybe its not a sequel (same case as monogatari off season and gintama porori hen). But, due to those 2 anime are canon, does this mononoke trilogy is canon too?

same director and writer, and theirs no real reason why it isnt canon, since none of the stories feature an overarching plot other than the medicine seller doing his usual thing.
