This Gantz manga could have been a masterpiece, a 10/10. This was really horror to read. The more chapters I read the more I get the feeling that someone might die brutally. I read to 350 plus chapters and honestly it was great seeing the characters being powerless to fight aliens. However, I was feeling ……

It declined my mood lol…. but yeah again somehow It was really great seeing the true face of humans too. Next manga. Peace.

Lmao. The vampires were one of the biggest problems in the manga. They just felt out of place and ruined the ending of the best arc (Osaka).
Still to me this story is 9 or 10.

I gave 7/10. It was too long chapters for this story I think. But I loved so much that I read Gigant, which other manga from Hiroya oku.

I felt the ending was super rushed. They should’ve at least given us an epilogue to show what happened to the characters after that ending.

I rated it an 8. I really didn't enjoy the last arc that much and I thought the ending was abrupt. Still a great manga and very entertaining.

its the characters that bring the story down, theirs a few that are perfectly fine, and a lot of either fodder or waated potential type of characters, the clone thing got confusing.... and yeah vampires were a great example of wasted potential.
i still gave it a 9 because it was a blast to read and "god" was such a fun and out there concept that it really did bump the ranking for me.

SOOOO many plot points are introduced, and then many of them are taken absolutely nowhere, also the ending doesn't wrap anything up.

I did 9/10 I think, but could see 8/10 maybe.

I score things honestly, I don't give a 10/10 to a series I like, I give it to a story that broke my heart, made me cry, completely changed my life, and I only have even the littlest complaint.

8/10 means it was really good but it didn't do everything so well I couldn't see flaws.

for me it's 10!! I agree completly, vampires thing suck. After all and the plot points that take nowhere and some other "flaws" it's my fav.

It's gantz and it's crazy how the plot evolves and the world in the manga extend lots of times. Like the start in a room qith the big ball and then the fights extend to the day light, then they go to the other planet, etc. So crazy.

So i think even though the vampire thing was kinda a failure, this kinda things it's what make Gantz great.

Looking at my score i gave it a 9. I think it may be influenced by how long someone takes to read it. If someone stretches it out it probably feels too dragged out. I read it in just a few days which makes for a better experience.

the beginning deserves an 8, the middle till the end deserves a 4 max imo, I think the mangaka lost track of his story and the ending was very nonsensical to say the least

I never get the love for this manga, It's poorly written, loses its own identity of what it wants to be (alien hunting death game or a social commentary on humanity), very sexist (most women being defenseless sex objects that don't fight in the beginning as well as rape and death fodder for the most part of the manga) like jesus fucking christ even Lupin wasn't as sexist like that one I can understand since Lupin was made in the 60's (70's for anime) as well as extremely homophobic and racist shit that even makes Katsura Hashino look like a less problematic person (black guy is treated as a homosexual rapist as well as a Asian man

). Overused fanservice to the point it makes Dead Or Alive, Fairy Tail, Senran Kagura and Highschool DXD (at least that one was supposed to focus on sexual themes) blush like okay why so much nipple shots, manga startup cover girls that are nude/partial nude, sex scenes and let's not forget the fucking dog and I'm not going to say what it did (yes it's even in the PS2 game and it does the same funny enough despite the game being rated CERO D (17+)) like sure Gantz is fine to use fanservice but when it's supposed to be about fighting aliens in a death game don't use it this down bad geez, as well as overused and poorly executed shock value for the sake of mean spiritedness and to be edgy. If you wanna see a remotely mature Seinen manga series go read peak shit like Berserk, Black Lagoon, Kingdom and Vinland Saga. Speaking of its fanservice, Gantz is probably one of the reasons why fanservice has to be toned down nowadays and is given more hate than love as well as being considered sexist even if the female character is strong, hell it could be the reason why Dead Or Alive is more modest with 6 toning down the sexiness of the female fighters.
