Am I the only one who think the MC is too useless?

Now he is in a position to lead with lives depending on him to make the right decisions in the middle of a war. So yes he is going to be inexperienced and naive plus hesitant on what is the right thing to do. So it's better to seek advice then act like he's more experienced than what he is. He can show off better if he was home just governing his territory.
