I think that Ars is too naive. Like he was a young office worker in his past modern life. So around 25-30 years old. But now he still acts like a baby boy in his current life. He gets excited, afraid and surprised for even the little things. He doesn't have any power of his own. Neither physical or mental. Even characters around his age are more matured than him. But the worst part is he has similar skill like that of Heros Blessings of Masayuki from Tensura. Or he's like King from One Punch Man or Reigen from Mob Psycho. Like he gets the credit for everything even if he played the least role in that task. All other characters praise him for nothing. It's like he's a copy of Rudeus and Masayuki in a bad way. But in the recent episodes it seems like he's improving.

He's in a position he is not used to. Yes he was 25 or 30 when he died but like you said he was an office worker. Now he is in a position to lead with lives depending on him to make the right decisions in the middle of a war. So yes he is going to be inexperienced and naive plus hesitant on what is the right thing to do. So it's better to seek advice then act like he's more experienced than what he is. He can show off better if he was home just governing his territory.

I’m of the position that Ars needs to chill and stop overreacting to stuff. Like in negotiations

Those are very good points.

Plus his life in his previous world, was nothing like it is now in the current world, compared to all the characters around, his life was blessed to be without war and unrest.

He has had to adapt to their world and their life, it is not an easy thing.

He is not a “strategist” “fighter” “mage”, hence why he brings the best people to aid him in his endeavors, and leads them to the best of his ability.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Yes, I agree. Ars is far too naive. He doesn’t act like someone who was an adult in their previous life.

He might be inexperienced, and that’s excusable, but his constant overreacting is not. His immediate reaction to everything is always bewilderment and shock.

It’s not that he isn’t a functional strategist or leader—that doesn’t bother me. What got boring very quickly is him not even being a functional adult.

I totally agree. It feels like there’s no actual reason for this show to even be an isekai. His past life is barely mentioned, it’s like he gained NOTHING from his prior 20-30 years of life. I just pretend he’s actually just a child. Makes it more believable. Imagine living 30 years of life and then falling in love with an 11 year old lol. Creepy ass. Anyway, you’re not wrong. The show is mid but I’m here anyway 😅

From an office worker to a feudal lord in war time is a huge leap and change of job prospects, from just caring about yourself to caring about thousands of others, I don't think many can cope with such burdens, so I get why Ars freaked out most of the time.

The only thing he’s good at is acquiring talent and gathering strong team members

@DoctorBryce Which is, indeed, the point of this Show. He is not an OP protag from your typical Isekai, he has to use his wits, but he is also still a child in that body. He may have those memories, but he has the emotions of a young boy.

Since he has the ability to analyze talent and can see people’s situations and background now apparently with that skill no, arguably that talent is more important than the brute strength some of the people he’s surrounded by have

this is not a new thread idea lol, and no

Yes I DID think this, but that was until he got an upgrade. He went from being to see people combat stats to knowing their loved ones are preggo. Information is important when it comes to war. He may not look it be he could end up being one of the most intimidating characters in the series if he uses his skill correctly.

yes you are! hope i helped!
jk, i think he’s a character that will grow, honestly
and even if he does not his most powerful ability will still the one to see people values, which in my opinion is a perfect fit for a lord.

do you people not understand reincarnation?
I know it not big in the west but come on.

1. most reincarnation involve losing those those memories. however mc in these stories tend to have memories intact.

2. while memories may be intact the mind and body is reset. they have memories of doin things once b4 so they do tend to (re)learn quicker than their new peers. but they still have to relearn it.

the mc is what 7, 10 years old? doesn't matter if he has memories. at that age we don't have full control of our emotions yet. Just like he had to relearn to walk because his body muscles haven't matured, his mind hasn't matured either.

also our 7-10yr Olds vs nobles of the same age are completely different. none of his memories as a citizen in peaceful japan would be of help to him in this situation. he literally learning for first time how to be a noble, to lead troops in battle, etc so yes the kid is naive.

it's like saying he's a pedo for marrying his fiancee who is kid because he's actually 30 or so.

his body and mind are completely reseted
his memories will come in handy in some areas but memories of modern times isn't always helpful in what is probably equivalent to our medieval. not to as a diff world with magic, lots of our modern knowledge may not apply

his past life has no effect on his new life. he is literally starting from zero like every other child.

Yes. Literally does nothing. As well as having no charisma whatsoever, which is the biggest factor. He literally just acts like a child. The way the story tries to portray him a figure who garners respect from everyone, when he has neither the air or capability of a leader stretches the suspense of disbelief so much. It’s just cringe every time he speaks.

Useless. Unlikeable. Passive. Bad in all three spectrums that make a character. Just a dogshit MC.

I agree. He's pretty useless outside of just... getting talent to surround him, and going BWWWAAAAAAEEEEEEEEHHH?!?!?!?? at anything surprising that happens.
it's gotten old.

He is not OP or a skilled fighter or a super genius dude. His personaltiy is that of a realistic Mc who uses his skill to bring people together and indirectly makes the best out of them, he has that aura in which he makes others follow him, a lucky yet realistic and genuinely kind isekai protagonist who resembles the symbol of hope for the shaken world he lives in.
Also in S2 we started to see him mature.
I definitely look forward to the third season.

” Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented. O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste.” So she pointed to him. They said, “How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?” [Jesus] said, “Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and alms tax as long as I remain alive. And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive.” That is Jesus, the son of Mary—the word of truth about which they are in dispute. It is not for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is. [Jesus said], “And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.” [Holy Quran : Chapter Maryam (Mary) : 23-37]

I see him as your average noble/leader/headperson just bright enough to understand he can't make what he wants happen himself so he gets people to do it for him. Kinda how it worked back when and often still do. Feels new because he's not an insufferable prick in any way.

Agree so useless goshh his over reacting to every little things are unbearable

This show is made by kids for kids 0 story sense it was like watching a Pokemon gym battle spree, dude just goes to each castle and capturing them.ughhh

Would have been better if ars and his kiddie group were portrayed as adults wasted potential i actually quite enjoyed the s1 but s2 zzz cringefest

Isekai genre has fallen to its steep low with shows like these (vending machine , sword , elf molest*in a cat shows getting a sequel ).
