 Production company Avex Pictures opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Natsumi Eguchi's Dekin no Mogura manga on Monday, revealing the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2025.Yuuichi Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen, JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze) is starring as the protagonist Momoyuki Mogura. Staff Director: Hiroshi Ishiodori (Maou no Ore ga Dorei Elf wo Yome ni Shitanda ga, Dou Medereba Ii?) Series Composition: Shinzou Fujita (Fumetsu no Anata e) Character Design: Youko Tanabe (Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku) Music: Tomoki Hasegawa (Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru) Studio: Brain's Base Eguchi (Hoozuki no Reitetsu) began serializing the mystery comedy manga in Morning magazine in April 2021. Kodansha published the seventh volume on June 21, with the eighth volume going on sale on Thursday. Synopsis Mogura, a mysterious "self-proclaimed sage" also known as Hyakuan Momoyumi, has been banned from the afterlife. To return, he roams the world, collecting the "lamps" of ghosts in his lantern. However, crossing paths with him brings an unusual consequence: the ability to see strange phenomena... | @RobertBobert How me saying Yuuichi Nakamura is overused = a bad VA or me not liking him? Curious to see how you came to that conclusion. When things like this happen it is pretty obvious that this a PR move to promote the anime(like Hollywood with Pixar, DreamWorks etc) not necessarily that there aren't other candidates. |

Because he has long become a rather aged VA and in the last 2-3 years he has either voiced side characters, or MCs in sequels of cult franchises, or rarely voiced MCs in adaptations that try to attract people by famous casts. |

| @Yubisoft Um, at least 15 roles this year are the roles I mentioned in sequels of cult franchises and roles in specials, OVAs, etc. For example, he played Hawk from MHA 3 or 4 times this year. If you take purely his new original roles, then there will be 10 or even fewer of them, and no more than half will be MC. This is normal practice for older VAs in their late 30s or 40s. Look how many similar roles other stars of his generation like Saori Hayami, Ayane Sakura, etc. have. |
