I know it's not the same thing but this is another case of a manager being suspected of being the culprit.

Ron had to use his thinking cap to deal with the kidnapping problem, theories, etc again. Looking at the details, it definitely looked disturbing from scenes constructed by flashbacks and theories. The reactions were natural, of shock and guilt.

I correctly predict that the real composer is her assistant, but I'm incorrect about this is stage kidnapping case.

The Hummingbird reveal was so obvious because the guy was acting sketchy the whole time

One of my favourite cases so far I think, I kinda love how they gave away the Hummingbird's identity at the beginning so the mystery was more about how he did it and why his victims don't press charges.

This was a kind of dumb episode… The concept of the hummingbird character and the really obvious solution to the mystery made this one of if not the most dull mystery so far. It wasn't bad, but it was disappointing. The whole reason Hummingbird exists is entirely unnecessary and asinine. What famous person would turn down a publicity stunt like meeting with an ill, sad, and talented little girl? The dude clearly has the brains, money, and connections to make crazy things like all of these abductions happen. All he had to do was put those resources towards getting the attention of the talent and/or their managers. It was just a really pointless, convoluted mess. If you can get a bunch of people to help you with something as difficult and ridiculous as abduction, you can certainly do the infinitely easier thing of legally contacting the famous people.

The first two cases this season were really blah, but I liked this one quite a bit.

Lol I been on a roll this season with guessing the case outcomes. That’s three in a row I got right now. I knew the detective was gonna end up being hummingbird, but his reasoning was the big shock here. Dude was just a great father and loved his daughter. This is the first time we’ve seen Ron release a “criminal” I’m pretty sure.

It’s kinda fun to get cases where we know the perp already, but not the reasoning or why his victims didn’t press charges. I do hope we get back to the House of M plot line soon tho. Feels weird that we’ve had this kinda filler vibe going on for the last month or so.

I was more curious why the abductees didn't press charges. Now that the reason is revealed Hummingbird is not that bad.

On the other hand couldn't he just invite them instead of running the whole phantom thief performance?

Nonetheless, a good dad. Hopefully his daughter can find that spark again as well.

I remember reading a theory in the previous episode that the real talent behind Nyonyon was the manager Mitsuhashi, looks like that turned out being right, makes sense since she kinda stands out. And I’m ngl Sannou’s fabricated theory sounded pretty solid at first, but with the info Ron and Toto learned they could see through the facade, and it’s pretty interesting how it all played out too. Of course we already knew Sannou was Hummingbird, they kinda gave that away at the start of the previous episode, but I really liked this case for how the mystery was solved, and of course there was also the reveal that Hummingbird isn’t as bad as he seemed, and part of that was thanks to the glasses cutie Monki, I’ll never turn down a chance to see her lol.

And while the story of Hummingbird was kinda touching, I’m with some others that this dude doesn’t need to do all of this kidnapping BS just to have his daughter meet these fellow artists, with the connections he has to make the kidnappings happen, surely he could make something happen without doing that right lol. So yeah I’m with Toto, dude is a good dad yada yada but he needs to be arrested, a crime is a crime, maybe the sentence will be light but it’s still what needs to happen. Oh well, Ron thought he was worth letting go and Mitsuhashi ended up meeting Hummingbird’s daughter even after all that happened, so I guess this was a happy ending I guess lol. Despite the outcome, this was probably my favorite case so far this season, but this makes two in a row now that have had nothing to do with House of M, hopefully we get back to that as we enter the later half of the season.

The kidnapper Hummingbird turns out to be the Yamanashi cop leader. He explains his reason and left the scene.

Nice to have a whole case with nobody murdered and nobody arrested! I low key would find it funny if Ron had been off his meds and accidentally put his death curse on Hummingbird instead of letting him go 😂

Wth man this episode had me teared up a bit at the ending bc this case was so wholesome man Hummingbird isn’t a bad guy he’s just a father who’s trying to fix his daughter whom he messed up accidentally by not paying attention to her loneliness, I’m happy as hell that Ron let him “get away” bc I didn’t want bro to go jail he’s such kind and caring father🥺🥹

That was so unexpected and beautiful I was moved deeply. I was right about having an accomplice and the detective was obvi from the start, but that backstory was too touching. WOW.
