I waited 4 years for this >:V
The Animation:
We'll talk about the animation. When I saw the animation of episode 1, it left me surprised and we said that it was our chance, that at last the fans of Junji Ito had justice, copying the drawings from the manga and all that, they even used CGI and the rotoscoping technique, I really liked the artistic style of episode 1. Don't even talk to me about the animation of episode 2, it's pretty horrible, they told me that they changed studios due to loss of budget... I don't know, but everything went to shit with the other episodes with horrible CGI.
Hasty story:
Not only do you have to criticize for watching the animation and putting kimetsu no yaiba as the worst animation, but the thing about the story is too rushed and it doesn't even tell you every detail of any character development like in the manga, like for example in episode 2 when a boy wants to go with his girlfriend or I don't know, he literally starts fighting because they won't let him be with his partner and after 5 minutes they are already going to escape, I understand that they are not important characters but in the manga it tells you too much detail and all that, you know? What made me laugh is when the surprise kid died when he was hit by a car epically and appears in episode 3 as if nothing happened lol. It was better if uzumaki had like 8 episodes
They don't respect the manga:
Look at my little children, Ito fans that I love you hahaha, Junji Ito can come up with anything in his head and think about how the character development will be, it's like when you see that it's not at all traumatic like the scene where the father dies and that smoke comes out in the shape of his face but in the manga it's traumatizing, in the anime it seems funny, the part when the mother cuts the skin on her fingers in the anime doesn't make sense and it seems like a crazy thing there, while in the manga it seems more traumatic and psychological... it seems like they do it on purpose but I'll talk about it in the other topic
It's not scary at all:
I'll be honest, UZUMAKI isn't scary, not even with the spirals or the Azumi part, it's not scary at all or with any episode, and that's even though I always get cowardly when I watch horror movies, I thought that when I got up at 2 in the morning watching Uzumaki I was going to cover my eyes, but it wasn't like that, not even with the soundtrack is it scary, please!! learn to adapt things well.
Well I wanted to explain this, I hope your opinion of Uzumaki. It seems as if the Uzumaki anime was made on purpose and they say "we are going to adapt one of the best works of Junji Ito and we will name it a worse adaptation so that nobody knows about Junji Ito's works and nothing else" let's hope that one day they adapt another story of Junji Ito or I don't know, but we have to wait and be patient.
