Ngl after all this time the fight grew on me, it's not one of my favorites by any means but i wouldn't call it bad in the slightest
On the chapter itself, okita did win (i'm sorry tie bros, see ya next round) by understanding that there is more in life than to die in battle, that is to live with his friends, thing that he wanted to do since the beginning, as we can see in his backstory when he was still trying to reach them, so i think his character has come full circle very well, the scene where he wins tho, it kinda felt underwhelming, he just used more energy? Ok i guess.
Susanoo is still the best part of this fight tho and his conclusion as the peak of swordsmanship is something i really liked.
I hope simo fights next

Fucking finally this fight ended... and the outcome surprised no one. Still no draw, even if it was a perfect opportunity to make one.

i don’t see any universe in which simo loses his round and on the other hand i don’t see any universe in where rasputin wins his. i will be shocked if im proved wrong (not happy just shocked) but simo just doesn’t feel like the type of character they would have lose and rasputin doesn’t feel like the type they would have win.

I'm glad it's over. I dont think the fight itself was bad but I simply couldn't care less about both guys. Just generic sword dude #1 against generic sword dude with slightly crazy traits #2.

Now the conclusion was fucking terrible. But again, let us move on to a more interesting fight or better cast of fighters.

And they still drag out the most boring fight? I mean the fight itself was not even bad, but everyone knew the outcome before it even started.

There was a chance this would end in a draw with Okita using up his remaining lifeforce but I guess not..

Still wished we got anything else than japanese swordsmen in this round
