I watch this movie without knowing what is it about in the first place. The movie is great in many aspect, as a viewer its always refreshing to see how Fujimoto able to write the story and how the direction studio gave into this animation. As the movie end, i appreciate it as a good show, with few mixing feeling about what is the purpose in making such stories.

That mixed feeling is erased quickly when i found out about the link between this works in particular with Kyoani incident that happen in 2019. I start bawling hard because of how it potrayed beautifully in Fujimoto way. Not only show that he loves Kyoani but also respectful toward the way he telling this story. Its not overly dark and gore as what happen in other of his works like CSM, it cuts perfectly without causing hard feeling of how he narrate the stuff. Really, the man you are Fujimoto.

I don't want to gave any spoiler, but just curious how other perceive the narration. Because this realization makes my appreciation toward Fujimoto doubles for how impactful his message are.

I immediately thought of KyoAni. And it really pulled at my heart. I agree, it was handled well. This film handled a lot of things incredibly well, which as a fan of the Chainsaw Man manga it was surprising to see the care in the approach of these things.

I remember when I was watching it, I was thinking to myself “this feels familiar”, then I looked it up and when I saw it was based off the incident, everything made much more sense. It was such a tragic event that the movie covered very well with a lot of respect

Yeah, around 2 years of its anniversary. It was his tribute from the start for the victim of this tragedy.

This makes a lot of sense. The way the incident was portrayed here definitely felt familiar and I must say it was respectfully done.

What disgust me even more and literally made me lose my faith in humanity is the year after this heinous arson attack on the animated studio many people and companies would join solidarity or donate money to THAT faceless terrorist group, you know the group am talking about and I consider them that group as EVIL as the Kyoto arsonist, who perpetrated these heinous burning, looting, murders across United States leaving death and destruction in their wake instead of helping the real victims (law-abiding citizens and police officers) who lost everything and suffered from these unholy riots which that terrorist group caused. I wonder what Kyoto Animation thinks of that faceless terrorist group who commuted the riots of 2020? Probably not positively after what they've been through...
