I got back into the series after I saw Roshidere last season. I really, really enjoyed it! And upon completing it, I realized that while I saw the first season of Durarara, I didn’t see the others, so would be an excellent excuse to see the rest of Durarara. And the main reason I got back into it is, of course, the Russian that’s spoken in it. and I know that a lot of people are down on the Russian in Roshidere, and I even saw some Russians, say as much as well. Though there were some other Russians that were saying that because of the fact it wasn’t designed for them, but rather the Japanese, they don’t mind it as much.

So that brings me to the question that is the title of this thread. Which series has better Russian, Durarara or Roshidere? I personally believe that it is Durarara, though I have not completed Durarara yet.

And also as a side question, which series depicts Russian culture better?

I didn't watch Alya-san so I can't actually answer the question but Simon is one of my favorite characters in Durarara so my answer would probably be biased anyway. If you want a show that has pretty decent albeit very little Russian then Girls und Panzer is a good one. Forewarned that it's depiction of Russian culture is quite over the top and stereotypical but it's very fitting within the context of the show. Russian aside it's also otherwise just a really entertaining show in my opinion.

I haven't seen the other series but I know that Durarara did a good accent, with Russian characters (something that wasn't so common at the time) It would have been nice if Narita had developed those Russian customs even more, but we already know that he likes to narrate a group of characters without making them the protagonist of the work.

Guys anime Russian aren't like real Russian at all. I know that very well because I'm Russian myself haha.
