Don't like the LGBTQ+ introduction into the series but at least it's not being shoved in our faces.
@Isolate_

There will be a lot more ideas being shoved in your face in a bad way.Abandon ship while you still can.

people see one lesbian and start screaming stuff like DEI and woke, tragic because that just means that is all they really took from this episode

Yeah sure 1 lgbtq character and the bigots come complaining. Honestly missing out on so many good shows with that attitude. Claudia was cool and love the anime references.

Huge W with the TWGOK reference (same author) which had Kanon and Haqua, two of my favorites from that show.

Rika is jealous seeing Takuya invite Claudia into his apartment, but didn't know Claudia was there to see her too. Claudia is such a refreshing character to see, ain't about that hate just because of who she is.

I don't for the life of me understand how this show is getting such high ratings. These characters are so utterly bland and uninteresting that, three episodes in, I couldn't even tell you their names. The princess was probably the most interesting character in this episode and she wasn't even THAT interesting.
@Olania lol, i wasn't interested in the anime in the first place but your comment makes me want to watch it now. Just to see how bad it's.

@snowykevin I mean, I thought the show was boring BEFORE that. Hell I barely even noticed that Claudia's secret beloved was a woman.

Takuya's father looks like trouble but they quickly resolved that.

I like how Claudia imitated Sailor Moon and she is in a yuri relationship. lol
@Marinate1016 It surprises me that her family was okay with the idea of her being man-obsessed and cheating on her husband, but also potentially against her lesbian sexuality. However, it seems that this is not so neglected if the plot implies that she can refuse royal duties without “penalties”. While I don't understand in any way the attempts to portray modern Western Europe as more homophobic than Japan, knowing the attitude towards LGBTQ people in modern Japan, this seems very dubious.

@patkarunungan It's called a lesbian relationship, not a "yuri relationship". Well, I like to think that this was one big "subtle" parody of the Western SM fandom, lmao. Although I still don't understand why they had to censor a character from another manga by the author. Didn't he still have rights to her?

@Stormy_77 In fact, their problems are often even greater than ours, because who you fuck has no influence on “real politics” and the fate of the entire regime.

@J0HN_L0CKE @JammingGem @WatchTillTandava Homophobia as a phenomenon is older than modern civilization. The other thing is, Claudia is literally a minor character who only appears in one episode at the moment, so seeing so many people lose their minds over her sexuality really makes me raise an eyebrow. It's like people are just going crazy over the fact that a gay character is even on screen.

@MinaseNagi You can console yourself with the fact that the same people will be angry when yuri fans starts rants about one random male character in some all-female show, lmao. This “war” is meaningless and endless.

Absolute quality anime. Excellent writing, pacing and humor. Really unassuming and some may see it as plain because of that but in truth this is a seriously well made and entertaining show.

5/5, I'm sorry, but face was so red it gave enough red-light to put people to sleep. I was expecting them to open the door while she was crawling, but instead she went full-on in scolding him for letting another woman there (only to find out he asked her multiple times and for her to be there too)

She definitely won the dad's blessing here.

I assumed she was in love with a woman other than her spouse, I would have been shocked if she was actually a freak.

I thought that the fictional country they introduced was supposed to be a cross between Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.

That aside, I'm very glad I decided to watch this. It was one I eyed before the season, figured it'd probably be an easy one or two episode watch and drop, but then already ended up knowing after that second episode that there was something more there and it seemed like something worth continuing with. I'm not saying it's something I'm going to end up giving a 9/10 or will be series of the year or decade or anything like that, but it's just pleasant and easy to watch while still having enough details worth paying attention to and scenes featuring characters' changing moods/attitudes and introspection to be more than just a sleep aid or totally turn your brain off type.

It's very plain and unassuming and in addition to that, or maybe partially because of it, just relaxing as well? I think it also has to do with the fact that I feel like it's been a while since I've seen a regular adults in an office or other workplace Slice of Life-esque anime. No world-rattling consequences. It's lighthearted and occasionally humorous, but not the kind of comedy which is just constant screaming and screams over and cancels out any of the more tender moments or places with potential for them. And I like the romance genre, but maybe it's that I don't watch a large amount of just regular same/similar age human heterosexual couples, plain Jane in other words, as that's not my specific thing, so "normal" ones are a nice change of pace.

I don't watch an abundance of more "vanilla" romcoms and romantic dramas in general, so maybe I mentally sold them short regarding how enjoyable they can be when you're in the proper mood and frame of mind. Well, I enjoyed something like Nagatoro too which I suppose is a pretty "normal" romcom except perhaps not fully due to inclusion of bullying/teasing kink.

This reminds me of a romcom sitcom you could put on at 2:00am, even watch a little out of order on TV in reruns if it's something which went on to have like 120 episodes, and just enjoy the low stakes slow burn experience of getting to know and get used to the characters and their cast dynamics together. Even their co-workers, several of which seem either dim or pushy controlling bosses, feel like they could have a fun and endearing, purposeful part to play in it all by story's end.

Yeah it makes sense for them to not use a real country and their actual princess. I'll likely give 9/10 also by the end.

I absolutely love Claudia. This episode was so funny, especially with "wow," "great," and "amazing".

Oof sad backstory. I hope Claudia and Marie live long happy lives together.

The frog rock was both cute and thoughtful

Its true though. I would love to visit a Japanese school if I ever got the opportunity to do so lol

This time, Takuya was given the task of being an attendant for Princess Claudia Maria von Liechtbourg. When he arrived at the location, he was quite surprised because the princess herself was completely in disguise, not directly protected and dressed very casually. When he met the Princess, it was apparent that she might have quite a bit of difficulty speaking Japanese. Takuya decided to talk to her in English, who knows, it might make it easier for the Princess.

Claudia went with only Takuya, her tour guide, so as not to look like an important person. Just the two of them, they visited many places that weren't so well-known but turned out to be more amazing. One piece of evidence is that the princess, Claudia, looks very happy.

Without realizing it, it was suddenly night. Takuya wanted to go home immediately, but the Princess still wanted to go to one place. What place was that? I thought it would be a beautiful place at night, but it turns out she wanted to go to Takuya's apartment, for some reason.

Uh, coincidentally, maybe because of feelings of longing, Rika came to Takuya's apartment. She saw from outside that the lights were on. This means he has returned from his duties. Rika tried to peek inside, and she found that the Princess, Claudia, was in Takuya's apartment, alone.

Yep, of course it was all a misunderstanding. It seems like Claudia just wanted to see firsthand, how a couple should be.

I like high-pitched Naobou characters, they always remind me of Mika from Blue Archive.

I wish they had Claudia and Takuya converse in English fully, Naobou English is always pleasant to hear.

Rika now facing Takuya's father, and hearing of the once-used-to marriage preparation being a hassle, she confides in him since she's a map Otaku, which got the awkward phase between them out of the way pretty quickly. But for the marriage rumour to spread THIS far towards his own father, they have no choice but to go back to his hometown of Aso, Kumamoto, to clear the misunderstanding.

To add to the problem, Nao Touyama coming in as the problematic celebrity of Princess Claudia Liechtbourg coming to Japan on her sightseeing tour that Takuya has to single-handedly handle on his own part representing the travel agency, she too wants simplicity despite being royalty for that matter alone, and the Engrish is quite fluent as well. Aside from being influenced by Claudia, her wanting to see his apartment is an immediate red flag, especially to Rika who begins to have second thoughts, until the moment she barges into his place and gives Takuya an earful...where in actuality, Claudia was waiting for Rika to hear from the fake fiancée herself, because she's also done with her own position being genuinely in love with a woman and not the man obligated to their country, that's quite the interesting twist.

Well, goes to show that love from each person's POV is different, but it can still be achieved one way or another, fake or real.
