So they got rid of him for being too ambitious. Says “someone is to blame” when he is literally the number 1 person at fault. Also some more new info, Nagahama wasn’t provided with staff that could draw well enough so he had to redraw every frame which obviously took too long so he got kicked out. There were also rumours going around that Nagahama had worked on the 4th episode and now’s he’s put out a tweet confirming this. Here it is. Translation (might be a bit off) “Over the sea, the broadcast of the anime Uzumaki, based on an original story by Ito Junji, has begun, and I directed the first episode and the last part of the fourth episode. I am looking forward to the broadcast in Japan.”  |
