Hey everyone,

I’m a bit confused about where to pick up the manga after watching the anime. There are a few different titles:

GTO: The Early Years
GTO - Paradise Lost
GTO: 14 Days in Shonan
GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka
Could someone help me figure out the correct reading order and let me know where the anime left off?

Thanks!

Shonan Junai Gumi ! (The Early Years) is about the past of Onizuka and his crew. Unlike what the English title suggest, it's actually not a bonus Manga of GTO, but the previous Manga of the Author. GTO is in reality a continuation of that story, and the 3rd Part of it. (There is also Bad Company, as 2nd Part.)

GTO is the "main" Manga. The Anime adapted around half of it (up to Chapter 106), but skipped a lot of scenes/Chapters, and made an Anime-Original ending. I would recommend to start from Chapter 01.

Shonan 14 Days (14 Days in Shonan) is a Spin-Off/Side-story, taking place around somewhere in the story.
Paradise Lost is the continuation of GTO, happening around 2 years after its end.

Also paradise lost is not a side story, it’s a continuation of gto it just has a dif name bc it’s a separate series. Kinda like how we have dragon ball and dragon ball z. I’m up to date with it

Paradise lost is definitely the definitive final chapter to the series. It even features characters from the author's other spin-off series like Animal Joe, and Kamen Teacher (also Kamen Teacher Black).

I know I am a bit late, sorry for that. If you have just finished the anime, the GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka manga continues from around chapter 100-110 something. The anime ending is not the original manga ending. After finishing the main manga, you can watch anything you want, but I would recommend Young GTO (Shonan Junai Gumi).
