| Really good chapter, Rei encouraging Shinji to air out his problems with Gendo. Shinji meeting Gendo at Yui's gave was probably one of my favorite moments. Gendo really hinted at his in his "people can never understand one another. Never completely, never enough" speech. Great moment, I just hope it doesn't negatively influence Shinji. Whether he likes it or not his father's words definitely mean a lot to him. So, I'm concerned. |

| Liked the 'Its bitter, but it's warm' part. Rei and Shinji's relationship is pretty much like that at this point in the manga. Not completely free of doubts, but warm nonetheless. Some bit of foreshadowing from Gendo, possibly about the Instrumentality Project. I don't like Gendo, but I felt it was a bit sad about his opinion on humankind as a whole. |
