The show is back and we got most of the relevant cast back especially Ars. Among upon returning this show, there's a lot of drama already including the governor position. Pretty sure this first episode is warming up for rest of the season so there's a lot of chatter. But hey, Mireille is back and she bought back her charisma with her. Same with Licia. Not much has really changed about Ars yet. |

Novelist Mirajin A's Tensei Kizoku is back with another season from Spring's premiere, continuing where it left off with Ars and the party's endeavors. After having Mireille join Ars's party, the 2nd military conference convenes at Castle Semplar that's requested from Couran, even though the former strategist has other nobles all questioning her past, though she's turned into a new leaf with Ars at the helm. The War Council doesn't make things easy to negotiate things, though Mireille gets the gist quick as the only one who knows in-depth about Vasmarque, despite her uncouth words that make sense to set the tide of the war. And Rosell providing his take on the matter, which ultimately rests on the Emperor and his bribing against all corruption, the issue's settled with Ars taking charge as the Great Commissioner. It's good to see Licia and Hammond again, though aside from consulting of the war, the former just wants to show him how far she's progressed in her work, including the flowers that he gave her back in Season 1. Of course, Ars consulting Licia on the war, she'll gladly do anything for him...in exchange of a marriage proposal of all things after the war is over. And Ars responds in kind by jumping the hoop first right then and there for his counter proposal, which Licia is clearly overjoyed to have a first-row seat to his life and the future that he'll create. Despite Hammond's surprise, he grants them both his well-wishes, and hosts the feasts thereafter. With the marriage out of the way, the war gets underway dealing with Shakma, that Licia has to deal with. With Yuki Tanaka's decent ED, the 2nd split-cour of the series / Season 2 is off to a good start. |

As with last season, the show seems to largely ignore Ars' ability despite the show supposedly being based around it (as well as forgetting that he has the mind of an adult and instead having him act/react like a child without any indication that it's an act). Also as before, the super strategists don't really seem to have any actual super strategic expertise. Mireille's contribution is to point out that they shouldn't leave their capital completely undefended while attacking which is...not untrue, but not exactly strategic brilliance. Her pointing it out really just shows that the nobles are idiots more than anything else. It's so obvious, in fact, that one has to wonder if the real point of Couran inviting Ars is because he knows he has a serious problem with his supporters being dangerously incompetent and is trying to create a situation where he can get rid of them. I laughed when they straight up said their region's biggest weakness was their shitty commanders, and all the shitty commanders in the room were like...yeah, can't argue with that. I'd say that's what you get when you put nobles in charge, but that's true for the other side too, right? Rosell does better, though his plan isn't exactly S level brilliance either. Even if it were, it also reinforces the question from last season which is why Mireille even exists, since Ars already has an S-class strategist who ISN'T always drunk and antagonizing people. It seems almost like she solely exists for plot purposes, with that purpose being to cause internal conflict (as she did with Ars' retainers last season and as she appears to be doing with the nobles this season). Mireille continues to be this show's Jar Jar (adds nothing to the group, causes problems, only present to move the plot). |

Ah mommy, I mean, Mireille how I've missed you. Only one episode in and she's showing why she's the best of the best, with her just taking dominance in front of everyone in that meeting room with why they're destined to lose lol. Nah but that doesn't mean that ma girl Licia won't get her respect, because she took that step for Ars, IN FUCKING MARRIAGE??? Neither of y'all have barley even started puberty or reached 150 centimeters in height, let alone FUCKING GETTING MARRIED IN THE MIDDLE OF A WAR xD Fine return. |

Did the studio forget that this is Season 2, not the first season that they can create a very fast paced first episode with skipping various scenes? Before anyone could start to understand what the hell is happening, war council was over; Ars got married; info about who to bribe was gathered. What happened to pacing the war council scene; calling for every one in Ars's party (if not his beloved family) for his marriage; hiring Fam for information gathering beforehand? |

Back like we never left.Started off with bonding time with the crew and get us familiarized with the cast again.Spent no time wasting and got back into the war plot and already getting another mission on their hands. With no one else more fit for the job they turned to Licia that then turned into a marriage proposal. Wonder if they'll continue with finding more talents or only the war strategy this time round. |

Without a second to waste the new season starts of right where we left off, with war planning in full swing. And as quick as it started, it was over with a new goal in mind. I can't say i expected a proposal this early though, but i guess i'm not that suprised either, that is how these isekais usually go. As i enjoyed the first season quite a bit, i'll be looking forward to what this one has in store for us. I hope Charlotte won't send the entire crew to Davy's locker, that teaser does not bode well for that poor ship |

We're so backkk Curious how this is gonna go with Licia This is genuinely without leading the light novel, so no spoilers or anything. But I don't think Licia going there is gonna end up well. Especially after they promised to marry before it, that's a bit of a red flag isn't it? |

This story really shouldn't have been an isekai; it adds nothing and actively hurts everything. Ars is a modern 20-something adult, and he's still going around reacting to things like a child. Also, he fell in love with an underage girl at first sight? Creepy. It's a shame because the story is otherwise pretty enjoyable without that weird undercurrent. |

LET’S GOO MAN WHAT AN EPISODE BACK. Kantei skill is one of the best shows this year hands down and this had everything I’ve come to love about this series. Who would’ve expected a wedding to start the season?!!! Ahhh Charlotte back on my screen! It’s been a long 3 months without the best blue haired mage of the year, good to see her again. She looked extra stunning today, but so did everyone. The beach stop en route to the council meeting was so nice man. Missed all these characters and the little family they’ve become. People disrespecting Mirellia because of things with her brother really annoys me. Glad Couran nipped that in the bud quickly. And of course it’s Ars’ party that comes up with a solution to the problem that all those supposed loyalists couldn’t lol. Bribing the emperor is bold. I love how Ars’ group suggests it but no one wants to volunteer to actually do it 😂 That brings us to Licia. Man loved her so much in season 1 and this reminded me why. Ars saying he needed to ask her dad’s permission to send her on such a risky quest and she just shoots it down saying “I do what I want with my life”, we stan an independent queen. Licia might love Ars and want to be with him, but she’s more than just a romantic interest. She’s a determined and bad ass character in her own right and I love that. Forget waiting till the war is over, Ars one upping her and asking to marry her now was so sweet. I wish his dad could’ve been here to see it. They’re truly the perfect match for one another and pick up each other’s weaknesses. So far no harem and I hope it stays that way lol. I really love the dynamic everyone has now and it just makes this such a nice change from your usual fantasy show. |

I did not expect for Ars and Licia to get married so soon, but it is too obvious that they love each other very much and they are meant to be together and support each other in both good and hard times. The negotiations must be discussed and thanks to Rossell, they have a good plan for the war. |

PAST life, is is not a 20 something year pretending to be a kid and going after a little girl. he IS a kid falling for a girl his age. I know reincarnation isn't big in the west, but seriously what is so hard to understand about the concept? |

@heychrisj He's actually in his 30s or 40s. He was at least in his 20s/30s before he died, and then he's lived another however many years in this new world, with his adult brain continuing to gain experience. His not acting his age is one of my two main complaints with this show (the other being that he almost never uses his ability) |

Awesome! I’m just excited this is back. I love me a good world building anime, especially Isekai. The marriage is a nice thing to look forward to, as I am a sucker for romance. From there the season and the war seems to be moving along quickly. Really been enjoying this one. |

Really happy to see this show come back, it’s one the better Isekai I’ve seen. Mirielle was introduced really late last season so it was good to see her have some good scenes here and see exactly what she brought to the table (in a literal sense I just realized) When I watched season one the Crunchyroll comment section had a pretty solid majority on the assessment of Ars: how he was something of a “pushover” and he tended to let his retainers walk over him. Well, this season had probably the first sign of a more “determined” Ars, when we saw him propose the marriage be right now instead of after the war. Sounds like the first step in him taking charge this round. The civil war was built up a lot last season, so i hope the pay off is great; we’ve had times when something was built up to and it didn’t meet expectations. Overall, really excited for seeing what’s to come. Enjoyed season one and am hoping season 2 is just as good |

Ars is back, along with his talented followers. I missed Charlotte and Mireille so much. The war for Missia's throne continues, and Ars has a key role in negotiating with those who control the emperor. Although many in the meeting look down on him or underestimate him, Ars always has his companions behind him, supporting him with their wits and talent. Even Couran trusts him. Lecia is an amazing character; Ars really hit the jackpot with her. Who cares if there's a war on the horizon? If you have someone who appreciates you and will even give their life for you and your ideals, it doesn't matter. |

I´m so happy this show is back!! I missed it!! Finally,Charlotte met the sea, is very emotional considering she was a slave... I hope she will be able to travel to many places!! Great that Rosell had his time in the War councill!! And I must admit I never expected a proposal in the first episode, the scene was great. I like Licia a lot more now than before, she had a great evolution. However I wanted to see Charlotte´s reaction about the wedding too, I wonder if she will have a love interest too that is not Ars... considering he is now with someone else. |

When Licia asked Ars for a favor after he asked her to help him with negotiations I thought maybe she wanted something like a kiss but instead she asked for marriage after the war is over, woah. I then figured Ars would either say sure or ask her to give him some time to think it over but instead he straight up asked her to marry him on the spot! The marriage was a pleasant surprise and I'm glad that this series is continuing, hopefully the negotiations go well... |

I expected it to be better than season 1. But it continues to be exactly the same i.e. very average. All these lords lack any personality and their meetings and talks bore me to death. I wish the show focused more on the small team of his retainers. |

@DavinDaLilAzn I don't read manga or source material. I believe source material could be altered a bit to make it more anime friendly. Even if you said that this is how it happened, still I doubt manga covered the whole sequences in just 2-3 pages because that's how anime adapted it. By the way, its a Light Novel adaptation not a manga one. I am pretty damn sure, light novel covered it way better & in detail afterall if light novel covered it in this way, then this whole part would've been finished in just 1-1.5 page (whole episode story in just 4-5 page) which is just not light novel-like thing to do. That being said, my objection still stands for this episode. |

Please stop the annoying burst of surprise and child like whining from the MC. If he could act his 30 - 40 year old age, this show would be so much more pleasant. ZERO reference to that subject has been made. and by emotional maturity I mean he couldnt control his emotions or actions/ abilities like a 20 some yr old can. 1. he cried as an infant over simple discomforts like any baby 2. he had to relearn to speak, not just because of difference in language, but because like any baby their body has to learn to use those vocal muscles. 3. he had to relearn how to walk because again like any other baby. 4. inability to hid one's emotions or thoughts, completely readable like any other kid. yes he's matured and learned more quickly but that because of his memories. Just like you never forget how to ride a bike even after not biking for decades. even tho his body has never done it, he remembers his previous experiences. he is a kid with slight advantage. that's it. whether you keep your memories or not, you reset during reincarnated. it LITERALLY means rebirth. you previous life yrs don't count towards your new life age. |

That was a cute ending, I feel like it made best girl (femboy person whatever they are) Pham officially one of his retainers as previously was more unofficial/indirect, but what about the rest of Shadow (little boy ;) has a preference to investing in Ars regardless). I'm slightly disappointed in this War Council for variety of reasons. I was reluctant to give S1 a 8/10 but did, let's see if this can be just good enough to get from me. Though I have a little mixed feelings, that marriage NOW thing was <3 <3 <3. I'm so happy for her. 4/5, let's get the emperor('s main person in control) to support! Let's see that nice diplomacy stat and special feeling or whatever ability in action!!! |

Damn, I really liked this episode. I only rated last season a 6/10, but I was optimistic about season 2 because it had a solid cast, already got a lot of set up out of the way, and the premise still had tons of potential. Well, season 2 hit the ground running with an episode better than all but one of the previous episodes and blew away my expectations. The group just really worked really well together; the mischief at the beach and running off was hilarious. "Be forthright" setting things up for Mireille to lay into the nobles and she didn't disappoint. It had a great pace and was jam packed full of interesting goings-on. Loved the dynamic with the Couran overruling the miffed lords which I'm sure will get worse as Ars racks up wins and favor, the plot to bribe the corrupt real power behind a young weak emperor with Licia being the chief negotiator sounds like it could be tons of fun and offer more insights into the disintegrating empire. Was shocked Ars and Licia are going to get married so soon, that's more romantic progress in a few minutes than most anime have in several seasons. But it's actually refreshing, especially to have Ars step up instead of twiddling his thumbs for a couple seasons asking her to wait for an answer like most anime would do. Honestly things seemed to flow better and be more interesting than most of season 1 while laying out more things to get excited about in just the next few episodes. Really strong start. Hopefully it keeps it up. |

Wait....how old are Licia and Ars again? I mean....I can't imagine them NOT getting married at some point but this seems early? Are they going to spend an ep or 2 on the actual wedding then? Otherwise that's a weird "big life event" that they'd be sweeping under the rug.... Uhm....yeah idk how I feel about this plot development so far... |

I'm grateful they didn't waste time with a lenghty recap. The first season has aired in spring and was mainly about getting his crew together, so it may be better to just name season 2 as part 2 instead. I just hope Ars will get some character development in this season. After s01e01 there was almost zero indication that he is reincarnated and was in his 30s when he died. The only reminder is him comparing people he meet with historical japanese figures. But hey, even if his mind regressed due to being in a younger body, at least some of his modern knowledge should be allowed to shine through. The series completely ignored territory management, but maybe Ars can show off in warfare. Him pulling through with Licia was a good move though. For all her smarts she can be quite stupid for setting up the "let's get married after the war"-flag. Even if she can't imagine him dying, the war could drag on for years or even decades. |
