I thought they said Bind’s plan was to adapt the entirety of the series, but I could be wrong. I’m pretty sure that’s what I read tho

Each season covers 3 or so volumes, so for this season it should be Volume 13 to Volume 15.

if they do the same thing as the last two seasons then Season 3 Part 1 will cover 13-15, and Season 3 Part 2 will cover 16-18.

I see these posts a lot on here, and I dont understand how anyone here could know the answer.

@DoobieSam By knowing the content of said volumes and comparing it to how previous volumes were handled.

Given the content of the following arcs, both cours of season 3 will cover five volumes (13-17). It is pretty much guaranteed in my opinion, since these five volumes contain two distinct arcs so inclusion of completely unrelated volume 18 seems unlikely.

season one covered vol 1 - 6
season two covered vol 7 - 12

so one would expect Season three to cover vol 13 - 18 though I think it will cover vol 13 - 17 at most. as vol 18 is slice of Life and a build up to vol 19, and vol 17 wraps up several storylines.

However there are a few things they cut like Rudeus/Elinase Journey in the desert and the Death God's Restaurant that are not that important. but they cut out the History of the world from volume 2 and the bonus Eris chapters which are very important to the overall story.

The Eris chapters are bonus chapters covering What Eris is doing while Rudeus is depressed/at Uni. The first one being Eris' thoughts during the Journey from the demon continent to the Central continent and what she was thinking when she "abandoned" Rudeus, in the Light novel while they make up in vol 15, she only realises just how bad things got with Rudeus in vol 23.
Given that more anime-only fans hate Eris, these chapters will need to be animated.

The history of the world chapter will probably be mentioned as a part of the Lore dump at the end of vol 15, as it covers the basics of the Origin of the world, the 1st great Human-Demon war, the 2nd great Human demon war, and the Laplace war. and as the series goes on we learn how some of these facts especially the 2nd great war are quite false.

in particular the Human record was that the 2nd war ended by the Golden Hero Alderbaran killing Kishirika Kishirisu when its revealed to be a fight between the Fighting God and the demonic dragon god.
