In the latest episode #09, we're informed from Kojiro's monologue that Suwa Yorishige has foreseen the future in which Tokiyuki will raise an army in 18 months (1335 AD). Yorishige has told Tokiyuki's routou to be ready by the time.
To tell you some historical facts so as not to be spoilers, this counter-operation was successful, and his strategic goal, the liberation of Kamakura, was achieved. This is one of the highlights of this story, so there is a plan to portray it, at least up to that point.
Besides, several important historical figures who are sure to appear in this story have yet to appear. In particular, there should be an introduction of Nitta Yoshisada, the enemy whom Tokiyuki should definitely target, who directly destroyed the Kamakura Shogunate. And Lord Kusunoki, who was mentioned twice by Shoukan is on the waiting list (I assume he will appear at the end of this season).

Buying the comic would be a contribution to the author and the original publisher, but it would be like dropping into the spoiler yourself. If you want to naively enjoy the anime for so long, why don't you think about another way?

As a resident of Japan, I recommend a sightseeing trip to the ancient city of Kamakura or Suwa-taisha Shrine. It is a good time to visit because the Japanese yen is currently weak against the reserve currencies. The Japanese government is promoting an inbound policy to increase the number of foreign tourists.
Local governments throughout Japan are promoting measures to enhance local attractions and stimulate the economy through manga and anime that cover their area. Tourists and influencers who know the rules and manners are welcome.
While direct investment in animation production committees by such local governments is rare, they do sometimes pay for the provision of copyrighted images as part of their tourism promotion budgets. The effect of publicity appears in the official statistics. So actions such as requesting the production of sequels could be taken.

In Kamakura, there is a railroad crossing famous for the opening of "SLAM DUNK," and it has been reported that unruly tourists have been causing problems by rushing in and blocking traffic to take photos. You don't have to stop at such a chaotic spot. There are many historical sites of the Kamakura Shogunate within half an hour train ride from the station nearby the crossing.
A fun event awaits the Japanese junior high school students, who are like Chouja-tou's peers, as they travel together as a school group. Many of the destinations chosen are historical capitals. Kamakura is one of them. The boys and girls in school uniform riding on a bus at the ending of the anime are comicalized scenes from a school trip to Kamakura. So if you travel to Kamakura, you will see many groups like them. When you hang around there along with them, you may feel as cheerful as if you were a part of the whole troupe at the ED. πŸšŒπŸ’¨

I think there are high chances to be a season 2 for this anime, thanks to its popularity and manga volume selling. It would be a waste if this anime won’t continue.

My fear: having a shitty second season like Tog and Neverland or not having a second season like Noragami and Hyouka.

@Philadelphia07
Everyone's situation is different. Each fan would be able to support their favs in their own way.
Rather, I'm sincerely anxious about disclosing that someone hasn't turned seventeen, in an open forum. Some lurkers might be peculiarly interested in users who are minors. Caution.

The problem here is that Umehara's production line is constantly overbooked. EluSam already seems to be in a tough spot from what I've seen, and they have still new content of My Dress-Up Darling and Bocchi to deal with.
