| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Nice. I wasn't expecting them to extend the "family" theme to the antibodies. For being the "evangelion killer", this show sure seems quite uplifting. I really am starting to appreciate the style too. The fights didn't appeal to me at first because they were so non-fluid, but I'm starting to realize that this non-fluid style really gives the show a sort of paranormal vibe, if you know what I mean. |

| The pacing is pretty good so far, and it seems to be setting up a rather straightforward story, with these skirmishes, etc. The way they baby talk the anti-bodies is pretty cool, and it's a kind of interaction you don't see very often, with sentient mechs either talking back, or grunting like neanderthals. Yuu is a good MC, all the girls are hot, and the interactions are pretty good. The only problem is some a little too obvious dialogue. |
