Ritsu paced nervously about the courtyard, waiting anxiously for his friends to arrive. He wasn't sure how many people were coming to this little event, as he had only just asked his close friends and the Host Club this afternoon. It was awfully short notice; but then, his father had only allowed the party just that morning. He had simply wanted to celebrate his birthday with his friends and his family, and had come to the conclusion that the best way to do so would be to invite his friends to his house.
Suddenly, he became nervous - what if they thought going into a den of yakuza was trashy? What if they were frightened? He and his father both had told everyone that they needed to be on their best behavior, but that still wouldn't help if his guests were too afraid to show up in the first place. A million "what if"s floated through Kasanoda's head, and he suddenly began to wonder if anyone would show up at all. At that thought, he leaned against the wall and quivered, praying to whatever god would listen that someone, anyone, would show up.
His heart leapt in his chest as the doorman announced there was a visitor. He pushed off against the wall and ran to the front door, eager to see who had shown up for his party. |
