It's guys like Suzuki why we can't have fun things in this show. He's arrogant too with that massive ego.

Sensei handled this episode like he always does though. Not much change regarding his way of dealing with people like Suzuki. I doubt that's going to change any time soon.

It's clear that the humans are the real problem in the fantasy world, as Ysha rallies the town of Veil against Hero Suzuki, who has too much ego going for him.

Sensei being in the suit of armour is a blessing in disguise, as he jots Suzuki in his novel, preparing to write his masterpiece. Ysha certainly didn't understand how Sensei does his work, but at least he has got a plan while Ysha defends him, with the help of Melos. The one bad move on Suzuki's part by having the great wolf bite him, is his inflicting poison that gives him experience. Suzuki's trump card with the manipulated Annette, Sensei has no fear, because he knew that she still has her soul within the midst that's not confined to a bird cage.

Sensei is not done dealing with Suzuki yet, because his story isn't written in stone, for the boy who got bullied himself and then Truck-kun-ed to Zauberberg with his Pet Gift, only to face his nightmares again in the fantasy world. And with the title drop, Sensei's true power finally manifests with the power to send back Other Worlders to their world. That's quite the Storyteller Gift if you ask me, that his power alone will drastically change the world as they know it, for the better. It all depends on the Other Worlders to create a masterpiece story of themselves.

Osamu Dazai's storyteller position in another world, it's such a magnificent idea.

Started the episode off hating Suzuki, now I ended the episode liking Suzuki and wanting to see more of his life in the other world.

Truly a genius idea to have the man himself, Osamu Dazai, be his power in another world being a storyteller. And hell yeah, four episode in and we got ourselves a name drop. Best episode so far imo.

Great episode. Cool to see Sensei using an actual power; I thought that scene in the OP had more to it. I guess that means he'll be hunting down the other worlders and sending them back now, of course by accident every time while constantly trying to off himself. At least he has a team to keep him alive.

Kind of cool that Suzuki gets another chance after the experiences he had in both worlds instead of dying. Only question I have is since it seems like time still passed normally as the manager said he dropped out of high school, does that mean he's homeless now?

I am sorry Suzuki, I wasn't familiar with your game.
Sensei skill is not that practical in combat but atleast it's usefull for people like Suzuki to get back on right track again. Maybe now he will have a normal life.
Using your own body as a poison capsule sometimes do work out as well.
Dude rizzed up Annate second time to save her😭😭. Poor cat didn't get to cook this time sad.
The story finally picked up.
Masterpiece about to be written.

@SawronZXZ he should have his parents or relatives atleast. I don't think a homeless guy will get a job immediately.
That maybe open to interpretation on how or if he gets better life now.

Suzuki is the quintessential example of what happens when you give the wrong man too much power. Got bullied in his world and became the very thing he hated the most in this one. All in all, everyone got a pretty good ending in this episode and I like how they handled a rather cliche plotline in an unconventional way.

Think this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone with a mind control petting gimmick, but in a way it’s pretty appropriate considering Suzuki backstory. Being bullied and having no control over anything in his previous life, being able to look down on(literally) and get people to submit to him was a manifestation of his deepest desires. Luckily Annette was able to break his hold over her with Dazai’s help

They said the thing! Love a good title drop in a show.

Dazai sending Suzuki back to his own world and giving him the helpful advice of “your story isn’t finished being written, it’s up to you if it’ll be a masterpiece” was a really nice twist. I went from thinking this guy would be the most shallow cliche villain to actually feeling hopeful about his second chance at life by the end. Even Yisha clearly cared a lot about him and wanted him to be happy.

Also, seems like Dazai’s found his purpose in this world! Fighting other other worlders who’ve lost their way. That’s a cool unique skill. Can’t wait to see where this story goes

Ok that was a brilliant twist on the isekai genre and what this anime will be about, this anime def deserves a 4-episode rule. Bonus points for that post-credits scene. :,)

Things got pretty bad especially after both girls got turned into pets but Sensei was able to turn things around with the help of Ysha, Melos and his own intrigue with wanting to know about Suzuki's background for his novel. I wonder if Ysha is right in thinking that Sensei's ability and purpose is to send the otherworlders back to their home worlds, that's interesting if true.

I don't think we've seen enough to conclude on that front; perhaps not (much) time passed from his initial summoning, but he then dropped out of school of his own accord after returning.I think it's likely that you're right, but he might've been too messed up from his experiences in the other world to return to school and dropped out after a while.

Unless he's been declared dead, I don't think his family would kick him out. If the former happened, he'd probably have a harder time getting a job though.

Suzuki the Hero had a hard time back in his real world and unfortunately, he will have again a miserable life if he’s going to let this happen (I hope not).

Sensei is smart, he imbued his body with poison and defeated all the Suzuki’s wolves. Annette is also good:)

Excellent episode. They showed us that our protagonist has some depth and isnt just a one note comedy character. The story with suzuki reminds me a bit of death note, what would you become if you were simply given unchecked power?

Sensei's ability seems quite overpowered. I hope they explain it better as the episodes progress because it appears that everything he writes becomes reality, and combined with his body being poisonous due to everything he consumes, it makes him quite strong.

I liked seeing Suzuki get another chance, although it must have been strange for him to return to his world. I imagine they must have considered him dead or missing when he went to the other world.

Well I guess Sensei has some powers after all, besides the poison thing which we already knew about. He just wanted to write a story based on Suzuki, but then somehow transported him back to his own world lol, so I guess this means we will probably see him do this to more rogue otherworlders (probably not on purpose) going forward which is a rather interesting turn for the show to take, but I’m not against it, it definitely helps the title make more sense lol.

And Suzuki himself was a lot more likable by the end, he pulled some dirty moves by controlling both Tama and Annette but thanks to Sensei he can now improve his life in his original world, the after credits scene is a nice new beginning for him. And now Sensei and the gang are already moving on, this was a nice mini arc, would’ve been cool if they could have scooped up Ysha but one elf babe is enough I guess lol.

Up until this episode,I liked it,but didn't really want to continue that much.
Now,I REALLY want to see where this is going!
I can't remember an anime where an otherworlder is isekai'd to deal with the other otherworlders who are causing problems for the world they are in.
I mean, its too bloody easy to think anyone given a gift or power wouldn't really become arrogant etc,its seen all too often in other anime, but to bring in a morose, suicidal genius like Sensei, and then give him the power to send those back to their worlds, esp after basically calling them useless,is sheer brilliance.
Go for it,Yuusha Sensei, write those overpowered fools into oblivion!!!

what started off weak but entertaining suddenly became a masterpiece. this episode hit all of the right tones. I did defintely lol at the return of truck-kun, so yeah this show doesn't take itself too seriously but the undertones it explores are remarkable. Especially the post credit scene was moving. Yeah he got a job at a supermarket but hey, it's a start. "to be continued" had me in tears. All he wanted was control, but it was too much for him to bear at the time.

Nice to see that Dazai's power will depend on who he is up against.
I wonder if Sacchan really is isekai'ed into that same world or if so, what power did she get?

Trivia 1: The original Dazai in our history, while his first attempt of a double-suicide did not succeed, after years of a seemingly normal life (he actually raised his own family - wife, kids and all), Dazai was found dead with his final lover named Yamazaki Tomie, from what seemed to be from drowning together in a stream or canal near where he lives. I guess this Sacchan in the manga/anime he was with is based on Tomie.

Trivia 2: The title of this anime and source manga is 'Isekai Shikkaku' (No Longer Allowed In Another World). This parallels to Dazai's final completed work before his death, titled 'Ningen Shikkaku' (Human No Longer).

From being a goofy series turning into a serious one... lol?!
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

these pompous enemies who dont do anything but boast are so annoying. While I'm still a big fan of the mc's design, I struggle to enjoy that of any other character, as we've got Reincarnated as a Sword reprint, and most likely inbred noble characters A through C or wtv, not rly the best mix

omg wtf is this mfs cut in the flashback are you fucking kidding me

Honestly, I would think his power was based on how he seems to bleed poison and kill any enemy that tastes it. However, it is interesting to see that his power can unisekai a character. Especially since he is an author who seeked to end his own story prematurely and he has the obsession with the “bird in the cage” analogy. It would be interesting to see how all this pays out with the other encounters he (or should I say his companions) face.

I knew when Annette got brainwashed Dazai would be able to snap her out of it and I wasn't disappointed. Some magic pet power is no match for his raw suicidal magnetism.

I did not know the title "Don't Kill Yourself" would be another character and Dazai would stop them from suicide. Giving Dazai the power to basically finish Otherworlders' fantasy story and send them back seems very fitting for a writer. I'm not sure I'd want the show to be about him facing them regularly, but if they're all as damaged as Suzuki and that's what drives them to be evil (the elves make it sound like all of them have been scum except Dazai) you could see the allure for creative inspiration for Dazai. Really interesting stuff that's got me curious what is coming next.

It's too bad he didn't get the rap hero too because he's painfully obnoxious.

I'm curious if the same power bringing all these rotten Otherworlders is the same one who brought Dazai and gave his skill to get rid of the others. Seems like whatever higher power is in charge of things is kind of a screw up and should be thrown out on their cosmic ass.

Nice. First I was like "He has no powers", then "He has powers!", "Oh it's just that black thing, so no power", then - "He has powers!!!"

So the guy was sent back! Truck-kun will be pissed! Are we to believe no one died because of him though? Sure it's sad how he was bullied and depressed, but that's still no excuse to burn down a village, mind-enslave some inhabitants and send pack of wolves on unarmed citizens. I guess we're to believe no one died and the injured can easily be healed so it should be fine... The guy was super weak for a "hero" though.
