Man, fuck Marley. What a country of psychotic losers. I think being interested in and proud of your country's history is fine but this anime is a good depiction of how easily it can become awful. Even with such a limited scope of how it interacts with the world Marley is obviously an evil expansionist military empire with slavery and they still see themselves as the good guys because of some shit a hundred years ago. Obviously Nazi Germany is the clearest parallel with the arm bands and the technology but in 2024 Russia fits the bill pretty closely too. Just a bad bad bad country that deserves to be destroyed.

Also, nutcase broken adults brainwashing kids is a consistent theme of this show: The royalty in the walls taking advantage of the people; the military turning kids into psychos to fight titans; Marley turning kids into psychos to become titans; Grisha getting got by his shit-ass loser son for trying to indoctrinate him. Brainwashing is bad.

One side-effect of actually seeing how Marley runs though is having an almost unalloyed evil bad faction in the show finally. The titans aren't evil they're just monsters. And the trio of spies were individually justified/righteously motivated even if they were doing bad stuff. But Marley is just a pile of shit run by Nazis. The warrior candidates are victims even if they'll almost certainly do bad stuff before the show ends.

So, Marley is in a war, not just against the Paradis Island, but against other nations. It’s interesting how the eldians hate the demons, when they themselves are the demons. Reiner’s impression on the island is highly biased, there are honest people too, how does it come that he can’t understand what’s out there, the closed society they have.

feels a bit like a liquid shit but at the same time there are lots of interesting questions

What's up with these nations?(ymirs,marlis,eldies or whatever)
who tf is dat galyardo, dat "peak" girl must be the savior ov Reiner and the MrBeast titan

I have a suggestion, since they made a whole opening which is entirely dedicated into the war/actions on the "other side of the sea/outside of "Paradise"", there will be at least 6 or more of these eps with the new characters, with that outer lore topic

Damn, bring me back that Eren, MikasA, Armin, Hanje-san, Levi etc.
