Even though Misana doesn't look like a strong person, she has a tough attitude and didn't back down from an arrogant guy. This show needs more characters like her imo. Seems there were also some other drama too.
On the plus side, Yuna and her friends still had their fun. Yuna continues to enjoy life the way it should, in whatever world she is in.
Better not to bully a bear. That noble guy was such a jerk.
Mr. Zelef came to the rescue. I'm sure he'll make lots of delicious foods. I just hope he won't cook Kumayuru and Kumakyuu, lol. That ending was hilarious.
Always great to start the week off with REAL ANIME. 2nd fave Kuma Kuma episode this season.
Yuna has had no shortage of pretentious little shits to deal with this season. First it was those kids she had to escort on their exam and now another stuck up noble. I really wanted her to just knock him out right then and there
All these micro aggressions the western family are using are so scummy man. You’d think that as nobles and leaders of the city; they’d want a prosperous community for everyone, but nope, just childish and greedy.
Honestly don’t get why the king couldn’t just step in and resolve it, even if you don’t want to take sides publicly, you could have an investigation into their crimes of embezzlement and racketeering.. but anime logic.
Yuna better be careful, don’t want Zelef eating those bears ๐
Lady Misa's birthday party, and it's a grand party with recurring characters that'll impress...well, except the fact that Gran didn't call Yuna by name.
Fina and Noa are having the best time of their lives, though Misa is experiencing this for the first time since she has a strict curfew outside of the palace walls. And welp, they just had to face an arrogant noble form the Salbard family insulting her poor family, with Yuna coming in clutch and protecting her. The city of Sheelin having 2 sides: Gran governing the East while the Salbard family governs the West, it's still trouble for a city with 2 lords. To make things worse, the Merchant Guild is involved, and the birthday party meant to showcase the Farrengram family's stronghold, if played their cards right, through Botts, they would have a chance to redeem themselves.
A fatal coincidence that Botts has to be injured, and while Yuna's healing magic temporarily recovers him, having her would help, but she's a distinguished guest, and taking care of the children is the main priority. Even Cliff's bodyguards Rabon and Gouges were attacked, which barring from evidence, the enemy is clearly the Salbard family, and despite Misa's worries about Yuna, she has a backup plan available, leaving Fina to take care of both Noa and Misa. Therefore, Yuna's own plan to disguise and request from Ellalaura for the king's help on Sheelin, Prime Minister Zang and the king's heir Zarat are new, and it's not like King Forot has a choice. Otherwise, Yuna only wants Zelef to save the birthday party, and leave the scuffles of the nobles to the royal family.
Zelef on Kumakyu...or otherwise he's thinking of her as food...it's a complete NO NO! Off to Sheelin, and troubles can be solved on the way!
This episode was so lovely, I get to see three little cuties hugging Yuna as a bear while the townsfolk are getting... kind of a nuisance to the whole scene. Then another spoiled noble has been introduced to add another fuel... sickening to see the lighthearted scenes be interrupted from those imbeciles. ๐
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.
Im actually surprised they arrived so early, but I guess its not a big deal. also gives yuna time to walk around the city i guess
Anyway so yeah, some stuff going on
(Randomly i was thinking what are the chances we'll get a s3? I'm not sure how far we are along, but I had a look and the pace of the kuma novels is kinda insane, there's like what 3 vols a year and there's already 20 vols? Almost certainly there's enough content for at least another season i think, if not even two)
back to the actual anime, because of the weird nature of things. for the most part the nobles have been quite nice, so when you have not so nice people showing up, its different since the anime as a whole is mostly optimistic slice of life with girls
it is kind of funny anime syndrome that i was thinking about, yuna is only 15 but she's already basically an adult.
while the "children", are like, ten. poor fina and noa though.
its really weird though, having like, internal uh, "division", on this kind of scale, feels really strange
on a completely random note I was thinking about cooking, or rather specifically those kinds of professional chefs, i do wonder how it is like though. kuma does have a lot of emphasis on cooking, and yuna is no slouch herself.
well thats one way to have a plot twist. its easy to forget, precisely because yuna has almost never used it, but doesnt she have healing magic? i cant remember the last time she used it, did she even use it this season? she herself basically never takes any actual damage, and I dont recall her using it on anyone else
soo their way of writing around it i guess. i wasnt expecting this kind of twist though, kinda ironic given all the cooking emphasis
it is really kind of strange though, since yuna is like adult and child at the same time, but well, not really
yeah should have seen this coming, this is going to be awkward now, whatever you call this.
i do wonder though, is yuna ever gonna tell anyone else ever of the door
i definitely wasnt expecting yuna to go all the way to the capital. i mean, we knwo she has the door, but from other people's perspective its kind of insane.
i dont think we've ever gotten the details, but yuna can't actually fly or teleport, but i guess she can jump really high?
yuna doesnt actually have like, very indirect/utility/espionage abilities, but well, thats not quite in the style of simple and what not
because of the strangeness of the placement, its only now near the end of the 2nd season that we actually see the prime minister and the prince. the prince definitely look either actually an adult or already (and flora can't possibly be that old either, massive age gap. the king is only 40 himself too? idk what to say, considering shia is like 15)
i do wonder though, who is going to cook for the king if his own chef is going off for awhile? oh well, i guess they probably have some backups. for a moment i thought the king himself would be going but we havent seen him out of the capital yet.
its kind of funny, since it brings up the point of like, how do we put this, animals and sentience and carnivores and such
So yeah, that was an ep, not gonna be wrapped up in two eps this time. this leaves either two more eps, or it'll be wrapped up next time and ep 12 will just be a standalone. the ep was mostly talking, and some depressing stuff so it's kinda hmm. But hopefully next ep will be good. I was actually quite looking forward to this ep, and we did get a bit of cute screentime from the girls i guess.
(random thought that i may or may not have to rewatch s1, but with so many characters. did cliff actually ever meet shuri, shuri hasnt been to the capital yet either, and im not sure if cliff and shia had any lines together back in s1)
Randall Salbert was a jerk noble. He bullying a yuna because a bear outfit. I think he doesn't realize that Yuna is an adventurer who has already defeated Orcs, Black Vipers, Krakens, and Black Tigers, and Mithril Golems.
I think the Salbert Family was a villainess in this story.

Yeah, that kid has the smile of someone who's about to do something stupid.

nope les falle con esa, lo siento pero todos tenemos nuestros límites. Así de jodido es mi gusto en anime, ¡Y estoy pinche orgulloso de ello!
Yuna felt like punching that cheeky noble brat. I feel her. That Salbard family resorts to everything to ruin the party. But Yuna goes to pick up Zelef. Damn, the prince kind of hates Yuna because of his father pushing all the work onto him whenever she comes.
Zelef talking about meat and other things in front of Kumakyu and Kumayuru is funny.
This series as a whole is mostly happy go lucky, wholesome, huggable goodness. Now we got some under the law stuff going on, people getting attacked, and all sorts of political nonsense.
I can see why Yuna doesn’t like messing with nobility. Nobles, especially in anime, can be such bitches. Bott, Rabon, and Gouges are all out of commission. That Ronald Salberd kid is quite the asshole.
Hopefully this matter is all settled in the next episode!
It reminded me of my trip to Japan. I was in Hokkaido and found out only after I left that some places there serve bear meat. And specifically bear paws as Zelf almost blurted out xD
