Did anyone else notice the amount of shots of just the lead characters feet or shots of her shoes there are in this film? I can't help but think that the director has a foot / shoe fetish

Thinking back, there was only one shot that I was somewhat skeptical on which was when she stood on the chair to grab something off a shelf, but I don't think these typically correlate to the directo's fetishes. Frieren was also pretty big on foot shots, but I don't necessarily think that it was due to the staff in charge of production, its just what some fans like.

honestly didn't notice it in this film but Shinkai did make Garden of Words which is just a straight up foot fetish film so it wouldn't be surprising. there's always foot shots in his film.

@PurpleTenshi well at first I thought it was just an artistic choice but when I started paying attention there was just way too many shots of her feet and shoes. But you may be right, you can't know for sure either way
