Here we go, I got some tears coming. Emotional scene between Chizuru and Sayori. Do we reach the objective to show movie to Sayori, seems yes. Strong speech from her about Chizuru's lie

Was hoping that Kazuya would do something as simple as give Chizuru a hug, and thought that him renting her at a time like this was a bit odd. But to someone as stoic as Chizuru, this might be the right play.

To think that her only family is left awaiting death, Kazuya just comes in with a laptop and a projector to let the movie play until she regains consciousness. What a bro move man, this is easily the best that Kazuya has ever been, even if Sayuri was able to be conscious for only a short moment. All of Mizuhara's life being a growing actress just like Sayuri, and she not being able to tell the white lie that she and Kazuya aren't dating, I'd like to believe that Sayuri knew that even by a skin of her body, though that she would not give in to her only daughter left, all of the world that she still has to live by. And the movie as thanks too, it's a sad farewell, all things considered.

For Yaemori to also bawl at the loss, none could take it more woefully as Mizuhara, who's preparing for Sayuri's wake. Even as Kazuya reached out to her, he still wants to help, but Mizuhara keeps a strong facade, Kazuya and his grandmother paid their respects to a dear friend. Seeking a recluse to help Mizuhara, Kazuya's grandmother issues an ultimatum for him to help her...and he turns back to his rental girlfriend booking for help...who exactly will fit his bill this time?

This is the peak of the work, don't expect anything more, it literally took 2 and a half seasons to be able to see this.

It's amazing how it can go from being the most horrible thing you've ever seen to a completely serious and natural anime; sometimes I think the author is just making fun of the audience.

The death of Grandma Sayuri is very sad but I am not going to deny that in reality I only came to see this adapted frame._.

>Playing the film when he knows it could be too late for Sayuri, which it was... that's touching
>Being the first client Chizuru's probably had in a long time.. BAD TIMING, don't go back to this just because the movie's over, damn...

Not gonna lie, this episode got me.
When a terminally ill character is leaving the hospital it's often leading to a tragic outcome.

Miyajima didn't pull punches by letting the events play out as hoped. Respectable decision. I'm always pleased when this series delivers the heartfelt moments. This scene in particular had a lot of weight behind. Even if Granny didn't get to see the movie, last episode she at least managed to acknowledge Chizuru before collapsing. I also think she knew the truth or had a feeling about her and Kazuya. In any case, she died happily with her granddaughter in her arms. RIP Sayuri.

It's the living who have to come to terms with the situation. Chizuru is putting up a strong facade and Kazuya don't know to deal with that in order to help her overcome the grief. Fair enough. He had his W moment with the movie.

This is one sad episode. To see how tough Chizuru going arranging the wake of her beloved Grandma Sayuri. The ballad version of the ED song suits the whole atmosphere. Kazuya is thinking something but what can he do next?

I've waited years and finally got it and it was amazing. Lizzie Freeman did a spectacular performance as usual. I cried a bunch to say the least. This is the whole reason I did this..

Best episode so far...

R.I.P to her grandma.
Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work... when you go to church... when you pay your taxes.
It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.

Neo: What truth?

Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo.

It's sad that sauri grandma died but she lived a peaceful life but that choice she gave chizuru to tell her the truth or maintain the lie showed both her fear and her love for chizuru

I'm happy she got to see the movie. Her dream was fulfilled but I'm getting tired of Kazuya. If he hugged her or something I wouldn't be pissed. He has done a lot and nothing at the same time. How can someone be so useful and so useless?

Oh man, dealing with the death of a loved one is something I dread to experience in the future. I don't think I'll ever be ready for it.
It really sucks Grandma Sayuri couldn't recover and watch it in the theater. Life is cruel, and we are at the mercy of its whims.

Back to renting? 😑
Well, it's the name of the series but their relationship is going nowhere at this rate.
My hope is diminishing... 3 more episodes to go.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Imagine sitting in a hospital for an entire night just to give a pep talk to a paid escort who doesn't even like you. Kazuya is basically Chizuru's free personal psychotherapist.

Urgh, see, I actually thought this was a good (if somewhat overwritten at points) episode, going better than anything this series has done so far and then they decide to end it that way…

Urgh seriously fuck this protagonist so much
