This is a heads up for anyone who wants the full experience from watching this anime!!!
After i watched the first episode which was amazing! i started digging for more info about this anime like movies, OVA .... etc and i did find that both Ginga Tetsudou 999 and Captain Herlock anime are both connected to each and the events are happening on same world / universe.
Hence im going to start with Uchuu Kaizoku Captain Herlock and continue from there following the release order.
Important: i did make this text list that follows the order release for both anime's which i was surprised that many Movie's, OVA's, Special's aren't even tagged as tied to the main shows but they do exists if you search for them, Anyways here is the list for now until new stuff comes out.

Now I'm getting a hard time finding subbed episodes for Galaxy Express (hell it's 112 episodes), got any lead?
Edit : Eh nvm, found it, just gotta do it hard enough lol
Is it worth watching tho? Are there any useless filler story/scenes that I can do without? Is it better to watch the movie recap?
I'm having second thoughts haha
@DaFakingDak Im still watching Captain Harlock so cant really give you any useful tips on what you can skip but im the kind of person who watches literally everything without exceptions lol
It'd be nice if you made them clickable
Anyway the watching order is actually even more complicated than that: e.g. the first three GE999 specials are supposed to be watched between respective episodes of the main TV series, but at the same time you are better off avoiding watching the first GE999 movie before you finish off the TV, even if it came out earlier than most of its episodes, because you are going to spoil yourself

@CrysisWarXX3 haha caved in and just started to watch it
Honestly it's more enjoyable than Captain Harlock so far (characters & story-wise), I relate much more to Tetsuro than Harlock lol
