With nearly 40 episodes planned and 17 manga volumes, can we expect a full adaptation with this anime? Or will there still be more material from the manga left over to be adapted, you reckon?

Yes, they have announced that it will be full adaptation. 37 episodes totall. I'm not sure wether it will be back to back or spit cours, tho.
