Accepting the competition, Laurent drops them off outside a huge mansion and claims that their target will be the biggest mafia boss on the West Coast. Jumping from city to city, Great Pretender follows the endeavors of Makoto alongside the cunning Laurent and his colorful associates in the world of international high-stakes fraud. Huh. Never thought there’d be any more to this anime since the first season ended pretty conclusively. But I really enjoyed Great Pretender so I’m pleasantly surprised to see it return. I wonder if they’ll use Queen’s song again lol.
| @Phlaryx I'm hyped regardless! Great Pretender is a fantastic TV show and while I find it lesser than 91 Day, it does lend it self to squeals better than that show. There is a lot worse anime to make a second season of that in no way needed it. I can take a new season of absurdly well animated Oceans 11 even if its mostly jogging in place natively. |

| I don't like it when they make sequels of animes with perfectly fine conclusion so hopefully this'll be good. Maybe we'll get to see Abby and Makoto married at the end this time. |

| This is such a pleasant surprise! Really enjoyed the first series, the ending felt like there could have been some more if I remember correctly but really didn't expect them to actually continue so I'm really excited about this! |
