Thorfinn lost the fight actually lost is an understatement. Askeladd past and why the word slave triggered him so much makes sense now. Thorfinn really is a slave to his desire for vengeance it is quite saddening to see.

Askeladd is such a badass. He is the true protagonist of this show. It took him just two years to beat the object of his hatred. I wonder if Thorfinn has had a realization and will change his tactic from now on, or is he gonna keep doing the same thing until something else kills Askeladd?

It is naive for Cnut to believe that he can change the world. While he may be able to achieve this during his lifetime, his dream will perish with him. The world requires an eternal ruler to ensure that prosperity, peace, and order can prevail for as long as possible.

Say what you will about Askeladd and the atrocities he's committed, but holding his own against a seasoned warrior as an 11 year old first-timer with a sword has to be one of the most badass feats I've ever heard of. Dude is worthy of respect.

Thorkell really took being ranked third to Thorfinn and Askeladd personally LOL

Will it happen? I genuinely can’t tell currently. Maybe. It feels a little odd that it would happen now, but it feels even more odd that it would happen later. In certain rooms. An aura based judgment. Didn’t ask. I guess it didn’t happen now. He let emotion influence the battle once again. He will teach him how to kill him. From yuteland. A story told so many times it becomes believed. Vinland. They waited five centuries. His first battle. He did not defeat him with the honor of a warrior. His face tells the whole story.
