| "Magic, what do you usually sing?" "Hip-hop." ..geez, pigeonholing much? Could swear this same thing played out somewhere else not too long ago, but for the life of me I can't remember where. Other than that, it's weird how Haruo's ... uh, eccentricity seems to have rubbed off on all but one of the boys, without any explanation or thinking... but eventually it rounded out into a fun karaoke experience for the boys (with pizza, which just made me hungry... thanks, anime). Watching them all get along so well after the shenanigans was nice - seems like everyone's a lot more together now and they bounce off each other very well. The fact that Haruo, apparently, couldn't carry a tune in a bucket is a hilarious bonus. |
| Another episode of this weird anime.. that begins with old hag sitting at her desk teasing Maestro (again), and Maestro is eating some dessert (again)- which from past history must be something nasty like pepper flavored ice cream or fruit- with curry. Maestro is displeased with his dessert, well that's odd, seems last time the Italian sausage-flavored yogurt he liked.... nevertheless he tasks the choir boys (who are NOT practicing in choir club naturally) to spice up his dessert. So he sends them into town, probably to find some celery for his fruit cup or something; but they hear singing in a karaoke bar upstairs and it's two guys- one of them a cutie with glasses, and his very tall friend who he refers to as.... MAGIC. So, Magic Johnson and cutie with glasses are apparently making videos on "Newtube" (I actually liked "PooCube" better haha.. from last season) and Maestro wants to force them to join the choir. He gives shady reasons, apparently the casting requires two more members so he wants them because he thinks they sound good. What ensues is a chase around the school, while cicadas are making noise outside (doesn't that usually happen in mid summer? when school is out?) and Magic Johnson actually carries the other boy away a couple of times. That was.... interesting. They've been constantly hinting at some BL theme with this show, but the stuff that happens is so unrealistic and ridiculous that it just looks funny. In one scene Tenshi meets the purple haired boy with glasses and... they look much more like a possible couple... and one thing I've noticed is they keep calling him "Cardbocchi" in the translation, but the guys are clearly calling him "Danbachi" Am I the only one to notice that? Anyway Danbachi aka Tenshi doesn't like the idea of trying to force the two of them into the choir, so they decide to have a singing competition at the karaoke bar- and for the first time this anime finally breaks out with some decent music! I don't understand why Maestro is such a smug jerk claiming (Danbachi) tricked Magic Johnson and the purple haired boy into the club, or why he isn't training them to be idols but instead wants to drown out their individual sounds into a choir, group singing, where such unique talent gets blended into one sound. But at least he has his new dessert. Probably has cayenne pepper in it. 5/5 just for being so nonsense and making me laugh again |

The meaning is still the same, so shrug. |

| Finally Goodbye Boy played from Hakase and it easily is best or even second best song, probably cause it's so catchy Sayonara Sayonara Sayonara. Cardbocchi kun being the one to connect with him and then spark all the misunderstanding was great, also lol at the club slowly becoming more like Haruo. Also Magic is fun. |

| I don't like how they tried to force Magic and Doctor to join, but the ending was really sweet and the comedy, as usual, on point. With the introduction arc finally concluded, I wonder where this show will go next. |
| Haruo wanting the boys to focus on desserts...and to think that there's a karaoke place on top of Cardbocchi's family shop, he's the same eccentric conductor who bursts onto the scene, causing trouble with Curtis "Magic" Suzuki and Tomo "Doctor" Hakase, who obviously ran away. But being in the same Kawagoe Boys' school, they can't exactly run away from the issue at hand, leaving the choir boys to go find them. Cardbocchi is like Doctor, but when Shiratori shook him he reflected to run away. It's better for them to naturally come in rather than being pressured, but as opposed to Cardbocchi, the others want to rigorously find them, and every nook and corner rests the choir boys in search of them. Cardbocchi understands both Magic and Doctor the most and wants to bring them to the karaoke place to showcase their skills...and as (un)luck would have it, both boys are surrounded by the rest, and Haruo...doesn't relent on adding them both in. All of this to be determined by a karaoke competition, and both guys scored big to settle things, no matter how much fun they had. It's the persistence that counts...the choir boys really pushed hard. On point singing... |

| karaoke face-off is the best way to get everyone on the same page and have a good time! lol friendly competition, lotsa junk food to order while picking which song to sing next...now i think the choir boys are complete...right? lol |

| How the hell do you not instantly find the only very noticeably dark-skinned guy in the school who also happens to be relatively tall at the cafeteria? Would have actually been funnier if they were like, "...Did you... really think you could hide from us...?" Would have been 100% more relatable. You don't have to worry about offending us. We stand out in Japan. It's just fact. lol I'm always meh about the whole forcing people to join stuff by invading their personal space and such, but how they started visibly having fun during karaoke was actually kinda sweet. |
