| Well, exams are coming and it looks like it won't be an easy one, at least for a lot of the students at the school. It was still a fairly interesting episode imo, from Rian's respective at least. Definitely one of the more complex characters of this season and someone to keep an eye on. Chise and Elias had their usual chemistry which is still quite noticable. |

| But can you just blast that wooden rubik's ball thingy with a fireball or something ? Same result eh ? No ? Well, ok. Philomela's flashback was very interesting, so her parents and her herself can't have their pictures stored or taken ? Thats seem very intriguing ... and very sad as well. Also is there something that does not trigger her ptsd, lol. Blondie guy went a bit to far i would say, but i understand why he did all that to begin with. |

| This episode had some moments of peace, seeing how Chise is getting along with her fellow classmates. The magic puzzle blocks was a pretty neat idea, with Chise temporarily having her hair turn black, which honestly looked really nice on her. =) However, after having a one on one battle, Rian was unhappy about winning against Philomela and accused her of not trying hard enough. He did let his emotions get the better of his judgement, so I'm glad that Issac gave him a piece of his mind about being too arrogant. The talk between Elias and Philomela's servant was into intriguing, where it showed a wholesome flashback with a younger Philomela having fun with her parents while having a picnic, but it was mentioned that the parents couldn't have their pictures taken at all, hence why this "memory" was stored in her mind. It only adds another reason to hate Philomela's grandmother and how she treats her. =( |
| It hurts so much to see those memories from when Philomela used to be young and happy, I hope that old lady suffers a slow and painful death. I may have forgotten if it was explained before but I wonder why does Isaac always hide his face. |
| Philomela's ptsd kicked in. Pressed to throw the match to do the "right" thing just to face such a reaction is understandably distressing. Her trauma runs deep. She can't catch her break and causes her to believe in the words of her grandmother that she can't do anything right. I hope we get to see her move regaining her confidence. Her grandma is the worst. Each time she opens her mouth she gets more abhorrent. Chise and Elias having a little talk on the other hand was delightful. |

| This anime is always at the forefront of making people look suspicious xD the preview for the next episode is very interesting. I don't know who, what, why and how... but the most important thing is that baba must get the suffering she deserves. |

| I hope it doesn't turn into a love triangle with Philomela. Anyway looks like the guy with the book took magic from multiple people but didn't fully drained them so now they are feeling sick. Also we finally got some Elias x Chise, that was sweet. |

| As the students continue to be locked up, they wind up in study groups, which Violet introduces a training game to get their minds thinking. As the injured gets back at his work after a long recovery, Elias is trying to poke at Chise's likings as she tries to do the same. When Veronica comes along, Philomela comes in tow and does the same as challenged by Rian, as Alcyone remembers how Philomela is treasured by her parents, and how her childhood was not spared by her grandmother that her feelings inflicted onto her, making her the way she is now. Rian certainly did not understand why Philomela was holding back, and a moment with Isaac in retaliation and Zoe in neutral terms, he feels adaman. But so is Philomela being in total control from her grandmother both mentally and physically, even if Chise feels an inkling within her, their circumstances are different. Though both Elias and Chise haven't talked to each other in a while, Violet comes raking in wanting to experience this "test of courage" as more people fall sick within this somewhat unusual "flu" season. This is kinda dragging on for far too long...and Philomela is not strong enough to retaliate against her grandmother yet. |

| Never in my life did I think I would ever wonder how a caterpillar woman goes to the bathroom... 5/5 episode, by the way. Rian needs to be more reasonable and Isaac needs to stop simping so hard. Brief Chise x Elias moment was lovely. |

| I honestly do wonder what that grandma had Philomela go through that she turned out this way.. a complete one-eighty to what she used to be as a kid. At this rate, it'd take a really long time until we see a change in Philomela. Also guess, the winter flu has taken a very heavy toll on these kids. |

| Man Philomela really can't catch a break rn, seeing her get bashed left and right by old friends as well now is rough. Alcyone memory flashback was adding salt on the wound by showing a happy young Philomela. Seeing Elias broaden his social circle is always nice and interesting to watch, his convo with Alcyone was nice to watch with Elias stating how he "could ignore, but kept replying" was a nice show of how his conversation skill have probably improved or how into the conversation he is with Alcyone since they were almost relating with each with being non-humans and such, also being both 6'7ft tall probably added to the relatability. They are really painting Philomela's grandmother in the worst lights possible, like starting to fade into Fate s/n Matou family shades of dark. Man it would be hella fucked if she was the one causing all the students to get sick to force the colleges hand to open back up by using innocents. |

So Chise sees her past self in Philomela. I need this grandmother bitch to die a horrible death. I didn't feel bad for the werewolves at the beginning of the season but that scene was fucked up. I bet that bitch has something to do with the sickness spreading amongst the students. Elias gets some new characterization and so does Alcyone. It's hard for me to tell exactly how sentient and automated she is. I hope she gets to show Philomela those recorded memories someday. |
| Okay I have to say the whole Philomea story is getting a bit repetitive now. I thought we made some progress in the last season, but apparently there was no character development after all. |
