why don't they have pitstops?

While im quite familiar with F1 to F2, why doesn't the anime show them, or do they even have them. I'm pretty sure in f4 they should still be doing pitstops even in the f4 japan series, unless they don't? If they infact actually have pitstops how tf is the MC supposed to do a pitstop with one mechanic lmao.

If the MC is seriously supposed to race an entire feature race in a single set of tires, no wonder they blew out in the first episode lmao.

F4 doesn't do pitstops usually, in fact I believe in the anime (and in real life too) they mention something about a limited set of tires per race. In fact, even in reality F2 and F3 usually just do pit stops on feature races and do sprint races on just one long stint.
The thing is that "grassroot" races usually last less time, for example Spanish F4 race would last between 18-30minutes+1 lap
