| thinking about this chapter a lot lately, it really opened my eyes to how this is considered seinen. It may seem romantic fun at first but all the trauma the main character, Shima, is festering in levels up the genre of this comic to mature. I know this may be already known subconsciously to me, but Mitsumi always puts a smile on regardless of strife, she is also put through the ringer. Her bubbly attitude and happy friends rly glosses over the true dark nature of this story: Kids carry a load of trauma for years and it affects a lot of their social skills. Shima is much more of a main character than just 'himbo' and Mitsumi is the same. Or maybe its as simple as it being serialized in a seinen magazine and I just think too much lol |
