There's no rules against rewatching a series you love as you might also pick up on things you didn't the first time around.

That said, there's also the original Web Novel which serves as the basis for the Light Novel. The Light Novel in turn, is the basis for both the Manga Adaptation and the Anime Adaptation.

Personally, I read the Manga before watching the Anime (I haven't read the web/light novels till this day but I do intend to someday) and to be fairly honest, I preferred the manga. Both anime and manga used the LN as reference so I'm not sure why I didn't like the anime as much but I do have a few nitpicks that could explain why.


The most reasonable nitpick is how they entirely skipped rimuru getting his adventurer's guild ID into just a 10-second clip in the 2nd season's 1st opening, I assume it has to do with the runtime but I'm still kinda bummed out about that.

Something about how comically expressive slime rimuru is in the anime kinda rubs me the wrong way as I'm usually a proponent of expressive and more stylistic design choices but I guess it didn't work it for me.

The saturation of the brightly colored hair as well as how they shade/render the colors also didn't really appeal to me. Of course the manga only really has to color in the hair for volume covers and the like and since it's a static image and not moving animation, so they get to detail the lines for the hair and whatnot more.

The most unreasonable nitpick I have is for how Shion is dressed in the anime like GIRLL YOU'RE GONNA CATCH A COLD PLEASE BUTTON UP YOUR JACKET A BIT

Anyways, I wouldn't really pick TenSura as an anime I would rewatch over and over but you do you man, just have fun

I always rewatch a series when a new season starts airing or is about to aire to get pumped up for it as long as a year or so has passed in between seasons or if a season has several cours that have been staggered. I do this so everything is fresh and I dont miss any references or mentions of previous activity. Also I rewatch if there are any movies related to the anime that release, unless it's within a year of the re-watch, which includes all current seasons and movies.

My all time favorites are Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion & Steins;Gate I have many series on blu-ray but these two series I've rewatched annually. It's safe to say I've probably watched CG 15 times, and Steins;Gate 12 times. I actually just received my L.E. Steins;Gate 0 blu ray yesterday and am planning to watch it a second time! I did just re-watch SG with my best friend, his first time, a couple of months ago. I tried to get him to watch 0, even though he loved the OG we haven't found the time to sit down and burn a day on watching it 💔.

IMO 10 times is a lot only considering the anime first aired in 2018, but if you love the series I see nothing wrong with it. Do you re-watch alone or do you sometimes share the experience with friends or loved ones? If the latter is the case then I definitely don't think there is a problem. Even if it's the former I wouldnt say you have a problem, you just have a hobby that brings you joy. There's just something really special seeing a favorite anime with those you care about that sets the experience on a whole new level. 😍🥰

Have you tried reading the Reincarnated as a Slime Light Novels? I currently own Volumes 1-15. Volume 16 is in transit from RSA and I have pre-ordered Volume 17. Since it seems you love the anime so much I'd highly recommend reading the LNs so you can find out what happens next for our favorite Slime MC 😁. Especially considering its the source material for the anime! I wouldn't really recommend the manga so much only because the anime isn't based on it, but if you want something different you could read the manga after reading the light novel and compare notes! Get your friends hooked and then you can talk about it 💚
